Diamante K hotel's beachfront setting and rustic ambiance are a hit among guests, who appreciate the serene and tastefully decorated surroundings. While the hotel's cleanliness and charming rooms with ocean views receive positive remarks, some guests find the pricing steep, especially when it comes to amenities and dining. Although the location offers stunning, picturesque scenery with direct beach access, the remote setting might not suit everyone. The staff generally earns praise for their service, though occasional lapses are noted. Overall, opinions on room size and comfort are mixed.

Diamante K was on our hotel wish list. Unfortunately, the rooms were sold out during our stay. Curious to see what we missed, we decided to spend the day at the beach club which is accessible free of charge (unlike some other hotels in the area which do charge for parking and beach chair renting). What a wondeful experience! The staff was super friendly and the culinary experience was absolutely great! Tried out the tuna and mango cerviche and the shrimps in lime, aand others delicious dishes and drinks for VERY fair prices for the location (Tulum is overall an expensive place to stay). Although we stayed 4-5h, we never felt any pressure from the waiters to purchase additional beverages or food. Diamante K does not offer the view on a wide beach but rather more on a small but still lovely sandy beach. This actually provided even more a feeling of intimacy and being in paradise. Diamante K's team made our day in Tulum!

Dear Jean Marie, thanks for taking the time for such a clear description of our place! That's all we wish everyday to people who comes, to feel at home, just as we do. Diamante K has this magic feeling of the old Tulum which makes it unique. The proximity to the archaeological site and the private bay define our concept to conserve the authenticity. Thanks for visiting us, next time please reach us to spend some nights! Warm regards,

Very cute, unique place to stay. The bungalows were very nice with our bathroom being outside our room (we got a room w a private bathroom). Everything is close together. There is not much of a beach area but it's enough for the adults who go in for a few minutes. Gorgeous views of the ocean though, even if you get a garden view room the views are still amazing! Restaurant has a smaller menu but the food and drinks were pretty good and prices are as I would expect. The rooms are open and there is no AC, there's just a small fan above the bed so make sure your aware of this if you go during the rainy season when it's humid! Most rooms could probably use another fan to help with air movement but it cooled down at night and was comfortable for sleeping. You can rent bikes, it was 250 pesos per bike for a 24 hour rental. Definitely recommend doing that to go further south and see more of the hotel area. Cars and trucks on the road are used to people of bikes and walking. This hotel is also very close to the public beach, it took us about 5-10 minutes to walk to the north end of the public beach. Staff was friendly and worked hard every morning to clear the walkways and clean the beach. We never used the spa services.

A delightful surprise!!!

We stayed in one of the cabanas on the property. Every cabana is a unique experience, and ours was awesome.

We had two queen size beds surrounded by these thin soft curtains. I guess they are there to keep out mosquitoes, but I didn't have any issue with them. Probably because there is always a good breeze blowing. Each bed has an oscillating fan on top which makes sleeping quite comfortable, even necessitating covers!

Be forewarned, the rooms have no air conditioning, but the breeze makes up for it, especially with the windows open.

The attached shower has no roof and it is a great feeling to shower right in the open, so to speak. 100% privacy, though. And really good hot water!!!

Everything about this place is just wonderful and first class. Great restaurant and bar, lots of really comfy chairs and divans to enjoy the ocean view while having a drink, incredible staff and landscaping.

We also felt very safe there. We locked the doors when we left, but that's not even necessary. We never used the room safe once. The place is 100% secure.

Anyway, there are other a few other hotel and stand-alone restaurants on our street, (try Mezzanine for Thai/Mexican food. Very good!!!) and a very trendy restaurant/bar area on the road to downtown Tulum. You'll see it driving to the hotel and it's only a fifteen minute bike ride from the hotel.

If a somewhat isolated, rustic but luxurious hotel is on your radar, this is really one to check out! The people at the reception desk speak near-perfect (or perfect) English, and quite a few of the staff also speak very good English. I found that to be the norm at other tourist spots in Tulum a well.

Beautiful location and lots of potential. I have given the hotel the lowest rating in an effort to draw their attention to these issues which are easy to fix.

Regardless of sleeping in a nature reserve and loving nature no one wants to sleep with spiders and insects. It would be very very easy to fill the gaps to avoid these creatures getting in the room but obviously the owners don’t care. In our room there are very low beams and lamps that I was constantly hitting my head on - very dangerous when you get up in the middle of the night to go to the bathroom.

Another thing a lot of people complain about is the misrepresentation of the rooms, the photos you see are of many different rooms and each one is different. It would be much better to list each suite separately so people know what they’re getting. Some or the rooms have really nice features others have really ugly ones.

The complimentary water the hotel provides int he room is dirty, full of matter and tastes and smells funny.

The bathroom area needs to be cleaned better, the toilet should be separate no one wants to listen to their partners bowel movements especially in a country who’s spices can often disagree with guests stomachs.

Lastly, the overall approach to hospitality here is that of a hostel, if you want to run a hostel that’s fine but don’t charge hotel prices.

I read many reviews before arriving to Tulum and I was prepared to expect bungalow with some sea creatures which is fine.

However, I want to express my experience from my stay. At first when we arrived we were given a room that was super tiny that our luggage barely fit and we had zero view. We had one window that was near the office so everyone walking by could look in so we had to keep the curtains closed for privacy. What I booked online was an ocean view room with more space. I immediately went to the front desk which was right next to us. I told them that this was not the room I paid for and I was very disappointed. They said they were booked and I had to wait until another guest left the next day to move me to my appropriate room. We didn't make a big deal since we arrived late anyway. The comment was made that no one ever likes that room. I suggest they either charge people a cheap price for it or don't book it at all. The food at Casa Maria was very good and I would go back to just eat at their restaurant. The resort is very chill and nothing fancy if that is what you are looking for. The small private beach is nice and relaxing. We had a couple bugs in our bathroom but nothing too scary. The hot water took at minimum 15 mins to warm up. There is a security guard in the evenings that walks the premises . We had friends that brought friends to the beach, sitting area and he charges $60 per person if you want them to stay to chat. Our friends paid him a lot of money while there. There are so many places in Tulum that are much more beautiful than this one. I personally would not stay there again but its not terrible.

My husband and I stayed here for part of our honeymoon and I cannot wait to go back. The property is absolutely beautiful and incredibly well maintained. We booked an ocean-front room with private bathroom and it was worth the extra money for the convenience, but we talked to other people using the shared bathrooms and they didn't mind at all. One thing to note, the private bathroom doesn't have a door - only a beaded curtain. The bed was very comfortable and the fan was more than enough to keep the temperature cool.
We were able to walk to the ruins and to a couple of other nearby restaurants, but most of the time we stayed at the hotel. The restaurant/bar is wonderful and every member of the staff was knowledgeable, friendly, and attentive. There was no need to go anywhere else. We even got stuck in a rain storm so we moved from the beach to the bar and watched the storm pass - it was perfect. Something about this hotel and beach feels very special and you would have a hard time finding anything quite like it someplace else.

I visit Tulum for the first time after plenty of visits to Mexico. It's a whole different vibe. This hotel is actually on the grounds of the national park which is still considered a jungle. It was an entirely unexpected pleasant surprise. Now if you are looking for your average hotel, this may not be for you. It's a bohemian shabby chic environment. The rooms are whimsical, try to get oceanview or a suite. Natalia was at the front desk in the days and she is simply amazing. She assisted us so much in having a fabulous time. The restaurant on the premises, Casa Maria, was so authentic, I wanted every meal from there, which I might have accomplished, my waiter most of the time was Ringo and he was awesome. Massage on the beach, no playlist necessary, because the water is hitting naturally on the rocks. The ocean puts you right to sleep as it seems to be knocking on your window pallets. Now if you are on a minimalist budget, this may not be your best choice. But if you came to really vacation and fully enjoy yourself, I'd say it's a perfect choice.

We stayed at the Diamante K (Amor suite) for three nights and were very happy with our stay. The hotel location by the ruins is much more scenic and less congested than the overrated hotel zone. The place has amazing views and the staff are always diligently working to keep it in perfect condition Gustavo and Ricardo took great care of us and the staff at the wonderful Casa Maria restaurant were amazing! We will definitely stay here if we ever return to Tulum.

We had the best stay at Diamante K in February. The room definitely have a treehouse / cabana feel to them, considering they're right on the beach surrounded by palm trees! As a result, the cleanliness perhaps could have been a bit better, but I imagine it's very difficult to keep on top of sand being blown / walked into the room. For us it was not an issue, but other guests might disagree. We loved waking up every morning to the sound of the ocean and tropical birds!

The included breakfast for guests was adequate, but we were surprised we did not get to choose from the menu of paying visitors. This seems a bit of an oversight in customer services, as guests' breakfast menus are much more limited. A stay at Diamante K is not cheap, so I would have assumed the included breakfast would have the same options of those for visitors. I would highly recommend changing this, as it would make guests feel much more welcome when they have booked an overnight stay!

We also booked a couples massage after reading the raving reviews here and were not disappointed! The massage was AMAZING, perhaps the best I've ever had. Although I might be biased, since it's hard to beat a beach massage with the ocean for background noise! Larissa and Erica were friendly, asking what pressure was preferred before starting and absolutely relaxed us all the way. I've never felt better!

We stayed in an Oceanview suite with private bathroom and would highly recommend! The view of the sea was simply stunning, and the bed extremely comfortable. The rooms are a bit sparse in terms of furniture, and the floors are bare concrete. Luckily the views make up for this, but it might be worth investing in a little rug to make guests a bit more comfortable in the room.

Diamante K has its own private beach and pool, which were both wonderful and really well kept! The restaurant, Casa Maria, has the most amazing ocean view, although it is a tad pricey. But then again, everything in Tulum is.

We rented bikes from the hotel (300MXN each for 24hrs) and would highly recommend that to travel around Tulum. But be wary where you park them, we had an incident where our bikes were nearly taken away for being wrongfully parked near a restaurant we visited. Although there were no signs indicating this anywhere and other bikes were parked in the same area. Seemed shady, so make sure you check where you park them and lock them up tight!

Overall, we had a wonderful time and would definitely be back!

My husband and I stayed here for three days for our anniversary. We had such an amazing time. The bungalows are so cute and comfortable and the veiw is incredable. I won't lie I was scared reading about bugs and being hot but none of that was even a thing. With the ocean breeze and fans above the bed we were not hot at all and I didn't see a single bug inside the bungalow.
The front desk people are so helpful and nice. We rented a scooter through them which was such a good idea because the taxis are very expensive and we were able to explore Tulum.
We ate at the restaurant quite a bit also everything we ate was delicious and I just love the ambiance of the place especially at night. Everyone who worked in the restaurant were also so nice. They even gave us a desert for our anniversary.
Diamante K is 10/10 I can't wait to go back one day.
