Property's Favourite Review
Had a magnificent week in one of the 3 bedroom villas at Fowl Cay. From the moment Pete met us at Staniel Cay, he, Steph & team could not have been more attentive to our needs. Massive thanks to them all, in particular Monique, Tario, Reggie, Marvin & the ever welcoming island labrador Rosie. We adored independently exploring the Exumas on our very own resort owned boat, plenty to do and see (pig beach, nurse sharks, turtles, iguanas, snorkelling to name but a few). It was all the more beautiful than we had ever imagined. Waterskiing and wake boarding also enjoyed, along with kayaking and paddle boarding. Magnificent tailored picnics for days out, breakfast requirements brought to our own fully stocked villa every morning which included all the usual comfortable, luxurious amenities. Fabulous cocktails every evening at the Hill House followed by a delicious 3 course dinner with meat, fish & vegetarian options every night. Wonderful all inclusive resort so a joy not to have to get the credit card out unless opting for hire of a jet ski or day trip out on a fishing boat. We could not recommend Fowl Cay more highly and so hope to return one day! Thank you so much to all the team for a truly memorable holiday.

This was our 2nd stay at Fowl Cay. Your stay starts with a warm greeting from Wayland or Grant at he dock at Staniel Cay
After a short boat ride to the resort you receive another warm and excited greeting from the Fowl Cay family, including Ruby & Rosie!
They will load your luggage and guide you to your villa on your own golf cart that is yours throughout your stay.
Upon entering your villa you feel immediately at home!
Your villa is fully stocked with food and beverages including alcohol.
Pastries are brought in each morning by your villa host.
You are provided a boat for use each day during your stay. The boats are well maintained and stocked with coolers of your drinks and picnic lunch. While you are out your villa is cleaned and brightened with the blinds opened for your return.
Upon your arrival from a long day of fun in sun and the most mesmerizing water, you have time to freshen up before dinner.
Dinner is at the Hill House or you may dine in your villa.
The staff at dinner are amazing!
While eating dinner your villa will receive turn down service and a quick pick up with the blinds drawn for the evening.

The Staff:
All amazing, I have zero complaints! Melony was our villa host both trips and we absolutely adore her! There really aren't enough words to describe her thoughtfulness, warm smile, and dedication not only to Fowl Cay but also its guests.

The Villa:
Our previous stay was at Seabreeze
A 2 bedroom pod style with a single pod for dinner etc.
This stay we were in the 1 bedroom Lindon.
The villas were spotless and maintained. If you know the Exumas you know the salt water is very rough on homes.

The food:
While we were not 100% impressed with the food this visit there were some very good dinners. I can't truly complain about the food based on the fact that we're still in the middle of COVID and options are limited.
We do miss Chef Charles.

Pros:
Everything you could want in a vacation without having to piece it together yourself!

Cons:
You have to go home.

My family and I stayed at Fowl Cay in the Sea Breeze Villa for 6 nights in early April for our Spring Break, and it was amazing. There are so many insanely nice people who greet you every time you come back from an adventure or see them at the resort. In the morning, they give you a beautiful fruit plate and assorted warm and delicious pastries. We expected the food to be just okay, as it is an island. We expected a lot of fish and not a lot of fruits or veggies, but we were very pleasantly surprised when we had plenty of meat, fish, veggies, and fruits to choose from for lunch and dinner. You get a golf cart and a motorboat for your stay that is included in the price, and it was very nice to have access to private transportation. I will say that the safety when it comes to the motorboats was a bit sketchy, as parts of the waters in the Exumas are very shallow and could easily damage the boats. That being said, there was a safety orientation in the beginning that warned us about everything, and also told us where to go for exploration and snorkeling. The snorkeling and diving is amazing there, and the employees that work at Fowl Cay wanted to help us as much as they could when it came to scheduling diving times and fishing as well. I would definitely recommend going with Staniel Cay adventures to dive, but snorkeling is easy just going yourself. I would also recommend going to the sea aquarium and the Thunderball Grotto for amazing snorkeling spots. The rooms in Fowl Cay are so cute and very very comfortable. There is a lot of room, nothing feels squished, and the kitchen is fully stocked with groceries. My mom is gluten-free, and the pantry and fridge were filled with plenty of delicious gluten free items. Everything at the resort was absolutely beautiful, everything was perfect, the people were so so nice. Definitely coming back.

The other reviews are spot-on about what an amazing and special place this is. We stayed in Sea Breeze for 7 nights in late March and enjoyed ourselves thoroughly. We took the boat out everyday for a new adventure and after a brief stop in the office to chat with the staff about our best option given our desires (beach day, feeding pigs/iguanas, wandering around a town, etc.) and the weather, we would make a plan for a wonderful day. The boat was always cleaned, fueled and loaded with tons of food/drink for our trips. As others have mentioned, the Navionics app with a suction cup holder/supplemental battery for your cell phone are nice to have along for boat driving. Our favorite spot for a nice secluded beach was nearby Sampson Cay. Rachel's bubble bath, Compass Cay and Farmers Cay were also really fun trips. The staff here is warm, helpful and so friendly. I wish I could thank them all by name, there are so many people that work so hard to make your stay wonderful. Allan, Anna, Van, Bella, Monique, Edishna, Emily, Tario, Tony and so many more, thank you! Chef and the Bartender are at the top of their game and the food and drinks were amazing all week long. My picky 8 year old was able to special order things that were not even on the menu. Hanging out in Hill House, playing games and interacting with the other families was a great perk of the stay that I did not anticipate enjoying so much. That being said, there were families who prefered to keep to themselves and that was equally welcomed and respected. Half way through our stay, we decided that we would come back next year because otherwise, we would have been too sad to leave. If you can make it to this resort, don't hesitate, it will be an amazing experience.

Absolutely loved my stay at Fowl Cay and will definitely return! The location within the Exuma Cays is perfect for boating, snorkeling, or having a picnic on a sandbar at low tide. The resort looks over at the beach with the “Swimming Pigs”, and is a short boat ride away from Thunderball grotto and the Staniel Cay Yacht Club. You are also easily able to explore the surrounding cays and Pipe Creek, which is one of the most spectacular areas in the Bahamas. The fact that you get your own boat with your villa, which is packed with a cooler and any gear you may desire for the day, is beyond perfect! We had so much fun cruising around and admiring the different hues of turquoise water, which are only found in the Exuma Cays. The staff at Fowl Cay make your stay truly unforgettable and ensure that you have everything you need and more at every turn. I celebrated my birthday while on island, and the staff made it super fun and memorable! The food was also incredible and the chef did a phenomenal job working around food allergies and Celiac Disease. I felt very safe dining at their Hill House restaurant, and the villa was stocked with gluten free items for me, which was very impressive for a remote island. This is hands down one of my favorite resorts in the Bahamas!!!

Fowl Cay Resort overwhelms you with kindness from the moment you first meet your transport. These are not people trying to be nice, but rather everyone we met was truly a nice person whose primary goal was making sure we were happy and having a good time. They have put much thought into anything and everything that might otherwise cause stress or effort during your stay beginning with hauling luggage on the way in and the way out. They deliver your lunch to the boat with towels, drinks and whatever you want, and offload it on your return. You only have two things you must do each day: order your dinner selection in the morning and your lunch for the next day in the late afternoon. You have a phone in your villa where you can text questions, problems, etc. where typically there is a response within a minute or two. On arriving I couldn’t figure out how to work Netflix or work the safe, and the very friendly and helpful GM, Allan was at the villa within a few minutes to solve the problem. There are a few dozen employees on the island, many of whom work in the background in maintenance, cleaning the boats, working the generator, housekeeping, but they all had the same thing in common as they were all friendly and helpful. Others have accurately described the area, which is unbelievably beautiful and special, although this is a place for those who want to get on a boat and explore and not so much for those who want to sit by a pool or lounge at the resort all day. We’ve stayed at Staniel Cay Yacht Club previously, which is not at all in the same league as Fowl Cay as far as quality, comfort and kindness. Fowl Cay is a well-run resort, and we made great memories there. We will return. We stayed in Starlight, which is a perfect setup for a family with two kids who can have their own space. Thank you for the best week ever, which we will never forget!

From the moment we touched down in Staniel Cay, the staff was fabulous. The villa was perfect for our needs. Spacious, beautifully maintained and fully stocked. A golf cart and small Boston Whaler is all the transport you need for a week on this fantasy island. A special shout out to the chef. Every dinner was spiced perfectly and delicious. This may seem like a very expensive vacation but when you consider EVERYTHING is included and the staff lives to fulfill you're every need, it's worth every penny. To Alan and the team at Fowl Cay, thank you for a wonderful week we'll never forget.

Just returned from a 5 night trip to Fowl Cay Resort with a large family group (13 of us split amongst two villas) and could not be happier with the place! What an amazing vacation. The natural beauty of the place is probably the main draw for most people, and on that count you won't be disappointed because during your time on Fowl Cay you will be surrounded by crystal blue waters, pristine sand beaches, colorful fish and lush tropical plants; but it's the outstanding level of service that really sets this place apart.

The entire staff is really top notch in the way they think about their guests and anticipate your needs. The feeling of being taken care of started with Check-in. Allen was waiting for us as our plane touched down on nearby Staniel Cay, relieved us of our luggage and boated us over to beautiful Fowl Cay where we were immediately greeted by an adorable Labrador Retriever named Rosie. We really appreciated the abbreviated check in process with no paperwork. Just showing us to our golf cart and leading us to our house where staff members welcomed us and gave us a quick run through on how to use everything at the house. Each morning we went down to the boat designated for our use to find it cleaned, tidied, gassed up and restocked with coolers holding our favorite drinks and our custom made lunches, ready for a day of adventure. Allen, Petra and others were quick to offer tips on the weather, where to go, and what we might enjoy doing each day. Need snorkel equipment? They've got you. Need any help at all? They've got you. The staff in the dining room were just as thoughtful and accommodating. We really enjoyed visiting with the bartender each evening during cocktail hour. The dinners, which were offered with several choices of entree each evening were expertly prepared and always delicious. Some of our favorites were the Lobster, Ribeye, and our very favorite, the slow cooked beef short ribs.

Our accommodations were houses perched on hilltops overlooking the ocean with stairs down to our own personal beaches. Hard to beat. The houses were clean and well cared for. The one time we had a problem (malfunctioning smoke detector), their maintenance team arrived within 5 minutes of my text. Again, service was great. And the best part of the houses is the "magic kitchen" as my kids called it. Any drinks or snacks we removed from the well stocked fridge and pantry reappeared the next day! It was like magic. Kitchen full of food when you arrive that stays stocked the whole time you're there and you don't have to do any grocery shopping!

Thank you to the entire staff of Fowl Cay for giving my family an unforgettable and amazing vacation. We will be back!

So much has already been said in the previous reviews, and it's all true. This is an incredible resort, a full package of tropical escape that fills every need.

The location is amazing. Surrounded by calm, clear water, cays, creeks, and sandbars in every direction, it's a paradise just waiting to be explored on the provided motor boat.

The staff was amazing, with no exceptions. I could name names, but it would go on and on. Every single one was friendly and willing to go the extra mile on every occasion to make our stay as enjoyable as possible.

This trip stretched the budget for us, but it was so worth it, and we will try to stay here again if/when we can.

Thank you so much to the staff at Fowl Cay for such an amazing vacation experience! My family and I had such a great time staying on the island and we felt welcome from the moment we got there. We stayed in the Sweetwater Villa and were able to enjoy the beach a few steps from our back door and an amazing view of the ocean. We were well taken care of and loved going to dinner at Fowl Cay’s restaurant each night — the food was fantastic and the atmosphere was very comfortable. With the one of the boats that Fowl Cay provides for each villa, we were able to visit local attractions such as Pig Beach, Iguana Island, Compass Cay (where we swam with sharks), and more. Thank you again for an awesome vacation and for the excellent quality of service provided. (We stayed at Fowl Cay in May 2021)

This is a great question and one we always consider when traveling abroad. Nassau would be the closest but if I was in need of serious medical attention, I would make sure that we got to Miami. Hope this helps!
