George Town, Great Exuma
A step back in pace from the already relaxed Grand Cayman, Le Soleil d'Or and the wonderful team made it pure pleasure from start to finish.

The room down at the beach club was well appointed, stocked and serviced on a daily basis. The snacks are a real point of difference with a mix of farm produce and delicious home backed treats. The granola was incredible! There is a chromecast for use with the TV which allows seamless streaming if you do wish to watch something.

The pool facilities at both the manor house and the beach club are very attractive, the seating and towels as luxurious as one might expect and the ability to order food at either location means a day by the pool is certainly an option.

We used the bikes provided by the facility to cover the 2 miles from the beach club to the manor house on both mornings for breakfast. The roads were quiet and the bikes comfortable. We covered a large proportion of the Island on the bikes and it was a nice and relaxing way to see the topography of the place. The lighthouse trip with the cliff views was a highlight.

The facilities at the manor house are very luxurious, the service by a small but dedicated team really top notch and the food fresh and plentiful at breakfast and dinner. The staff really made you feel welcome and took the time to ask questions about our preferences but also offered suggestions. Saranjah was the consummate host each evening and morning.

Another novel aspect of the property is the fam produce, shop and farm tour. The team at the farm lead by Rufino couldn't have been prouder of their produce and facility. The tour of the farm is worthshile and demonstrates the range of produce and also is a good opportunity to see the rock iguanas.

All in all a fantastic few days and the team lead by Anoop will certainly make their mark as a destination of choice for "locals" from the Cayman Islands and hopefully sooner rather than later international visitors. Transfers in the spacious Suburban were also delightful.

P.S the The sporting / activity facilities were really good - we used the tennis courts (the bikes as mentioned) and the gym is the best hotel gym facility that I have ever used. Really well equipped and scrupulously clean.

If you're looking for the perfect family-friendly getaway, look no further! We traveled with 6 adults and 6 small children (ages 1-7) in September 2020. As we live in Grand Cayman and our borders are closed, we thought we would give Cayman Brac a try for the first time. Our expectations were not set high, as we were really just looking to get off the main island for a weekend away with our families. We were blown away! Not just by the accommodations, but by the service and quality of food. Since we needed 4 rooms, the main house was perfect, which is set up as a B&B with shared living room, kitchen and a rec room with a billiards table. All of our rooms were extremely clean with luxurious bedding, and I would highly recommend the Cherry Lime room with it's wraparound porch balcony for the best views of the bluff and the sea.

One of my favorite aspects of this property was the rustic environment and the impressive variety of cacti, agave plants, flowers and trees throughout. We also had a few rather large rock iguanas visit us at the door each day, much to the kids' delight.

Anoop and his team made sure we had everything we wanted from transportation on arrival, to food delivery at the Beach Club down the road, to extra supplies for the kids. We hiked a short distance up the bluff on the property to be given a wonderful tour of the farm, where they grow the majority of the food that is served at Le Soleil. The breakfast that was included daily was A la Carte, and it did not disappoint in freshness and variety. The lunch and dinner menu was also fantastic, and the team was accommodating on serving us wherever it was convenient to eat with the kids. And make sure to check out their Farmers Market! We are now enjoying the fresh spices and pickled onions we brought home with us.

As an added touch, Anoop and the team brought my twins dozens of helium balloons for their birthday, which was endless entertainment for all of the kids.

This property is a must-see if you are planning a trip to the Brac.

This was the best decision we made, to stay at Le Soleil. From the moment we got there, you could feel all your worries melt away .
Anoop and his small team have got the place up and running well even though there are minor glitches . These they try and resolve as well as they can .
From Frette linens , Bulgari toiletries to an extremely well equipped kitchen( sticker daily with fresh homemade bread, eggs, milk juice etc ), everything is of the best quality .
Mary in the kitchen, ably assisted by Tojo ,uses all the fresh farm produce to make delicious meals. Currently you can take your own wines in to the dining room but they will soon have a bigger list .
A five minute drive away takes you to the Beach House where there’s a lovely pool and beach access.
The mark of a great holiday stay is when you don’t want to leave at all . That’s how we felt when we left .

We stayed for 3 nights in the Beach Club Studio which is 2 miles from the main manor house and restaurant. It was bliss! Beautiful room with gorgeous views, private pool and private beach. The staff were so accommodating, picking us up for dinner and dropping us home. The restaurant is expensive but everything is so fresh and delicious its a real treat. Breakfast is included in your room price and everyday you get fresh fruit, juice, water and cookies left in your room too. We also did a farm tour with Francis one morning after breakfast. Francis was very knowledgeable and drove us around in a mini golf cart letting us taste fresh produce and teaching us about the farm. Its well worth doing while staying here.

Grand Cayman
We stayed here for 3 nights in early September and we so excited about getting away from Grand Cayman and enjoying the farm to table food on offer at Soleil d’Or.

Whilst I appreciate that Coronavirus has made things particularly difficult for the hospitality industry and that recruitment during a pandemic must be extremely difficult, the fact remains that we paid $310 usd/night and 18% surcharge on F&B bills which seems terrible value for money.

Given the price, we were expecting an amazing product with excellent service, which despite the manager’s (Anoop) best efforts we simply didn’t get.

The room was very nice, with a balcony overlooking the sea and a big bathroom. Although the TV didn’t work but you be fair we didn’t ask them to try and fix it.

However, I couldn’t believe when we went to the restaurant for a drink before dinner and were told didn’t have any cocktails or wine by the glass. Although after a while they did end up opening bottles that could be purchased by the glass.

On the first night there were 6 people in the restaurant in total. My wife was asked if she wanted roti or rice with the curry, only to be told the roti were finished when she asked for that option. Why even bother giving her the choice?

I had the grilled aubergine and feta which was a huge tomato with 3 small pieces of aubergine inside it.

Our second night in the restaurant was worse.....we both had to send back our main courses twice. The rice that accompanied my curry was cold both times, however, they had left the curry dish on the table. So when I did get hot rice after 10 mins or so, the dish itself was cold. My wife ordered the a curry special also that was actually a cold dish. The staff are Indian and said this was how it should be, in which case it’s the first time I’ve heard of a cold curry and feel they should explain that to customers.

Credit where credit is due, Anoop was very apologetic about everything and didn’t charge us for the mains.

Breakfast was pretty good. A huge omelette with some watermelon on the side but given the on-site farm I expected fruit platters etc. In fact we didn’t see that many of the fruits/vegetables from the farm tour on the menu other than watermelon.

The hotel has a nice beach club section but with no staff there, although Anoop did regularly Whatsapp to see if we needed anything. If cocktails could have been served by the pool, it would have made for a much better experience.

Might go back to see if they have managed to turn things around our conclusion was; nice rooms but terrible value for money restaurant which was probably the main reason to stay there and a good manager doing his best with limited resources

The room we stayed in had a stunning view over the Brac Southern Coast with a spacious balcony to enjoy the tranquility. The room was large, comfortable and felt on a par with any luxury hotel. Staying in the Manor House, you have access to an extremely well equipped shared kitchen, stocked with fresh fruits from the farm and a place where you could comfortable prepare your own meals if you chose. We ate in the restaurant and were served fresh produce from the farm. Undoubtably the farm tour was the highlight of the stay. To grow the produce in such a challenging landscape as the Brac Bluff is nothing short of miraculous and the farmers were so talented and knowledgable about all the plants and enthusiastically share their experiences with you. We explored the island mostly by bike, which the hotel provided and Amar and his staff were always on hand to cater to anything we needed. The Beach club was a little treasure, a short bike ride from the hotel, and offers a spot to relax and walk on the beautiful sandy beach and enjoy a dip in the swimming pool.

What’s to love about Le Soleil D’or… Everything! Our family of five spent nine nights at Le Soleil in January 2020, children ages 8, 12, and 13. If you’re looking for a place to truly unplug, this is it. The property encompasses a multi acre farm on a bluff overlooking the ocean, a manor house with four units at the foot of the bluff, and a beach- front cottage. There are also a few units located on the farm itself. The location is secluded, serene, tranquil, and private. The accommodations are luxurious and spacious. The surrounding environment rustic, providing a natural experience and plenty of plants, flowers, and wildlife to discover. The fitness center is first class.

The best feature of all, however, was the people at Le Soleil. Anoop, our general manager was very friendly, hospitable, and catered to our every need. Viola and Mary were simply wonderful, showering our three children with love every day, and providing us with delicious farm to table food throughout our stay. The workers on the farm, Rufino, Efran, and Anthony were friendly, accommodating, and courteous. Our kids took several fam tours and even planted a papaya tree. There was no reason to leave the property for dining, it offered the best and freshest food on the island.

While the island is more suited for diving, we still enjoyed some swimming in the pools at the property, as well as it’s nearby beach club. There was also a natural salt water pool/cove on the island for swimming and easy snorkeling. The farm to table food, the natural, serene, rustic, and unique environment and the extremely accommodating and special staff made this trip very memorable for our family.

Le Soleil D’Or Cayman Brac is one of the best places I have ever stayed at. The resort exudes beauty and elegance and the staff made sure to make my stay very enjoyable and memorable. The accommodations are very spacious and elegantly furnished with gorgeous views of the Bluff and exotic vegetation and some rooms are overlooking the sea or the pool. The farm on the property is simply amazing and all the fruit and vegetables used in the restaurant are brought in daily fresh and ready to be prepared by the amazing Chefs. I am a big fan of the farm to table concept and all the food was exceedingly tasty and customised to my liking. As you walk around the property it’s like walking the Garden of Eden, simply beautiful everywhere you look, the Bluff, all the exotic flowers, the waterfall all giving it an air of serenity and peace. I also spent some time at the Beach Club which is a short drive from the property and next time I am there I definitely have to try the Spa which is located next to the Beach Club. I cannot recommend this place enough and thank you again to Dacia, Omar, Sarah and Christine for looking after me so well. I cannot wait to come back!

We absolutely loved our weekend stay at Le Soleil d'Or. Our room, Cherry Lime, was amazing with a wrap around balcony where we could see the bluff on one side and the ocean from the other. When we arrived we were greeted with fresh sorrel juice from the farm which was delicious. The staff were so helpful and attentive, in particular Amar and Sara. The food in the restaurant was amazing, thank you to chef Mario. He cooked a three course dinner both nights, all with fresh vegetables from the farm, along with local seafood. With our breakfast, Sara was so kind to make us fresh tea using herbs from the farm. The highlight of the trip for me was the farm tour with Randal, it was so interesting to see the variety of fruit and vegetables grown on site. Randal was so knowledgeable about the fruit and vegetables grown there, we learnt (and ate) so much on our tour. We even got to bring some goodies back to Grand Cayman with us. I would definitely recommend Le Soilel d'Or to anyone who wants a relaxing and wholesome weekend away! The hotel was stunning and the staff paid so much attention to detail. Will be back for a return visit soon I hope!

Beautifully kept farm-to-table boutique hotel with spacious rooms and picture-perfect views. My husband and I wanted to escape from the hectic pace back home and Le Soleil D’Or did not disappoint. Located only about 15 mins from the airport, you are collected by the hotel concierge and given a tour of the grounds upon arrival and check in.

Included in your stay is a generously portioned breakfast with garden view as well as an approx. one hour tour of their farm. The restaurant serves lunch and dinner for an additional charge (simply inform them you will be coming) so that they can make sure you have a seat reserved.

We stayed in the Star Apple room which boasts a luxurious bath tub and walk out patio leading directly to the pool.

Guests staying at Le Soleil D’Or also have access to the Beach Club which is only 4.15 kms down the road. You can borrow their bicycles or use their electric scooters. Make sure to bring a towel from the pool and lots of water.

A big thank you to the Staff for making our stay extra special and for accommodating my husband’s gluten allergy. They took extra precautions in making sure his food had no cross contamination and he even had his very own bread each dinner.
