Decided on a long weekend on The Brac for our anniversary so my wife could see all of the Cayman Islands. Booking was easy and asked for a small fridge which wasn't a problem and no extra charge. The resort is for divers on all inclusive so there aren't cooking facilties in the room. The place was very quiet due to current Covid restrictions but I prefer that.

On Friday night they have a BBQ which is attended by non-residents as well. I had the beef option which was excellent with as many sides as you could eat and all for $18. Phenomenal value for money. The breakfast is a buffet style on Saturday and Sunday which has everything you could want. Again, excellent value for money. The poolside bar is tidy, clean and has plenty shade which we needed as it was a very hot weekend. The pool itself and hot tub are excellent with great views of the ocean. Staff are amongst the friendliest I've ever met anywhere in the world.

The room was clean, tidy and the aircon was good. I prefer a harder mattress but that's a personal choice so I didn't have the best of sleeps either night. We brought milk and champagne with us so a fridge was a necessity. I think they should be standard to be honest.

Small balcony and that is my bigest gripe. The aircon unit is large and makes a racket when it's on so is a bit intrusive and the view from the balcony is of palm trees. You can't see the pool or the ocean which is a pity. Also, the light on the balcony wasn't working. A minor thing but an easy fix.

On checking out the receptionist provided us with 2 free t-shirts which is a nice touch.

A very relaxed weekend on The Brac and when the diving returns, I would certainly stay there again.

We have been to this property six or seven times since 2004. The leadership from Trudy has keep this property and her team delivering the best accommodations and hospitality has to offer. All of her employees are hard working. Everyone you meet on the property are hardworking, genuine and offer a warm and kind heart. The pool and outdoor bar offers great options for those who are not snorkeling or scuba diving. The meal options in the restaurant are fantastic with some of the best tasting food we have had.

We went on a dive trip with our friends and family and had an amazing time. The resort is beautiful, wonderfully welcoming, and caters to divers. The bar staff, especially Regina (Gigi) and Mark, were incredible, the staff around the hotel were very attentive and friendly. The food was good, rooms nice, and the diving was breathtaking. Three dives a day with lunch in between and all of the sites were more beautiful than the next. The full shop is down the path from the pool and allowed us to keep our gear there overnight. Nice dive staff and guides, nice boats.
We had an earthquake on the island while we were there and Trudy and Caz handled this out of the ordinary surprise with an authoritative calm, keeping all of the freaked out guests from panicking. I personally appreciated their precautionary measures and their open communication with the guests, as it eased my anxiety.
Great place to visit for your next dive adventure!

It's not everyone who can say we made the earth move for them on their dive vacation. Right, Carliq3? Thanks for sharing that our managers made you feel safe. We are delighted you enjoyed your stay and services at our resort. We will hope to see you back again, although we can't promise the same "earth shaking" experience.

My wife and I just returned from the Brac. We loved this place. The facilities and grounds are clean and tidy. It's quiet, as we prefer [the heck with the big all-inclusives!]. Service was excellent, especially our new friends at the bar, Regina, Neil, Mark and Chino. Thanks for making our week so enjoyable. I never ran into a suryl, or grumpy staff member. A very friendly group of people.

This is a dive resort. Be forewarned that there isn't much else to do on the island. There aren't many beaches, and just a few other places to eat and drink. We took a tour with Mossy, who is an interesting fellow and great tour guide. It was well worth the time and cost.

It was the coolest I've experienced in the Caribbean and breezy the first half of the week. Thank God for the warm hot tub, which I used after rinsing and hanging up my dive gear. My non-diver wife was yearning for sunshine. The second half of the week was as expected, warm and sunny.

I dove 6 days and the reviewer below claiming reef life wasn't what he expected is nuts. Every dive was amazing with something else to see. Visibility was a bit stirred up, as they had been experiencing a very windy period prior to our coming in.

A word about valet diving - just because they are setting up your gear doesn't mean you aren't ultimately responsible for checking it out before hitting the water! The dive briefings were excellent and I felt comfortable exploring with my dive buddy once we came back around to the mooring.

We thank you very much for your visit and for taking the time to post a review, Rick D. We wish we controlled the weather so it was sunny and warm every day, but occasionally our orders for this get ignored. It's nice ot hear that you still enjoyed yourselves and the services provided by our rockstar staff. Good note about the valet diving. We always expect guests to also do their own check. And if it's not exactly as they like it - let us know so we can remedy the next time. We also love that you enjoyed Mossy's tour. We're never sure if it's the sights or the way he presents them that are the most fun. We will hope to see you here again - or at one of our other resorts which you can expect the same high level of service.

The staff at the resort is very friendly and helpful. Yurin, Arnold, Matt & Tim especially. The resort has a very nice swimming pool as well. The bedrooms are pretty nice even though mine had no mini- fridge (I was told we had to ask for it but they don't enough for all the rooms) , had an ice bucket but no ice machine in sight and half of the electrical outlets were not working. In terms of activities offered by either the resort or the dive shop, there are very few other (bikes were available) than scuba diving. With only 3 boat dives/ day and no possibility of shore diving, it would be nice to have other things to do. I did inquire about the kayaks that were laying under the deck by the dive shop but were told they were no longer seaworthy. Reef divers (the scuba diving operator) is a great outfit with very knowledgeable dive guides (Barbie is the BEST). I have two suggestions for the dive shop: extend the lunch break, an hour for lunch is a bit short (not a big fan of diving with my french fries and pork tenderloin still making their way down my throat:)). The second suggestion would be to dive bloody bay wall at least twice a week. It's not a long boat ride and the wall is gorgeous. Finally for all the foodies out there, most people I have spoken to during my last trip there were very happy with the food variety and quality. Personally I don't care much for it, I just need fuel to go diving :) Would I go back? Yes.

This resort feels like a second home. The staff are incredible. They take great care of their guests and truly enjoy what they do. We were happy to see that most of the staff were able to stay or come back after COVID.

The food is incredible. Every dish has wonderful flavor and the Chef is very accommodating if you have dietary needs.

The rooms have a beautiful view of the ocean and the pool. We have never had any issues with hot water or cooling the room.

The diving is second to none. Not only do you see great flora and fauna on every dive, the dive staff take great care in preparing divers and ensuring a smooth dive.

We will be returning every year as this has become our favorite place to dive and relax in the Carribbean.

Where to begin… absolutely first class operation from the resort ( rooms, food, bar, entertainment and management responsiveness), to the dive operation. We have been to this resort before and while this was our second trip to the resort, I wouldn’t hesitate to return again.

As to the diving, the Reef Divers operation is first class. From the VIP service, to the guided dive sites and once back to the boat letting you continue your dives for up to 60 minutes. We were fortunate to have Ragnar and Rosie as our two guides this week and both were absolutely fantastic to dive with.

This resort is definitely geared towards divers ( meal times, activity times etc) but there were non-divers also…. Although likely spouses.

The resort isn’t cheap from a cost perspective, but everything in the Cayman’s is expensive as the resort costs are likely high. Have stated that, the quality all around is well worth the money paid. If you are a diver that wants to experience some fantastic diving, then check out the Cayman Brac Bech Resort.

While most divers go for one week, we opted to split our time half and half with Cayman Brac and their sister resort Little Cayman. Each Resort. The Cayman Brac Beach Resort is a relatively compact - the hotel area, pool, dive shop and dining/bar area are all within a 2 minute walk from each other.

The staff was unfailingly friendly and helpful. Chino, Mark TJ at the bar; Lisa, Arnold, Makeisha in the dining area; Caz and Walter at the front desk.

The room was large and clean with a soft mattress and a small balcony with pool and ocean views. The room had 4 bathroom towels and two beach towels. Plus a fridge.

The meals were quite good with pretty mainstream food and preparations. The desserts were definitely a notch above the entrees with homemade cakes, pies and cookies. Always fresh salads at lunch and dinner and fresh fruit at breakfast. The drinks were well mixed by the bartenders.

If you are looking for a convenient one stop shopping vacation for good diving, its easy to recommend Cayman Brac Beach Resort.

PS- The onsite dive shop Reef Divers is a separate company and we will review them separately. But suffice to say, Reef Divers maintained the same level of quality of staff and execution as the resort.

One of the better restaurants on the island and one of the best settings. Large outside seating area with wide range of choices. Views of the beach, the sea and sunsets are great. There is also an upscale restaurant located indoors, open Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays.

I tried it both ways, It's hard to figure that out if you don't have the same crew the whole week and on top of it, I have a family with me so I have to tip for everyone. I basically tipped the people I was with the most the most, and the people I was with second most the same %. based on time spent. I had another situation where I did a night dive and another one with a different crew so I wasn't inclined to tip them as well. That's where it gets tricky.

It's mostly the rooms that are on the L-section farthese from the lobby. When you make a reservation, you can request one but we can't guarantee.
