Some friends recommended Silver Sands and we are so happy that they did. We stayed in unit number 2, which had two bedrooms upstairs and the living room and kitchen off the ground floor. The unit was clean and had everything we needed, extra pillows and different weights of blankets and comforters.
The beach and snorkeling was what we came for, and the location was perfect. Snorkeling out and up to toward Cemetery Beach is amazing - so much sea life including turtles, multi colored fish, lobsters, and even a reef shark.
Thank you to Elsa, who cleaned and kept us freshly stocked with towels. We had a lovely first time at Silver Sands.

This was our second time at Silver Sands. We had 6 adults and a 23 month old. The three bedroom condo was perfect, plenty of room. The grounds, pool, and beach are always well kept. Loved that it was very private especially the beach and pool. Everyone from staff, other renters, and year round owners were very friendly and helpful. Definitely a place to vacation with your family.

Gorgeous condo on a gorgeous beach. Snorkeling is adequate for beginners right on the property. Walk down to Cemetery Beach for more snorkeling. The grounds were well kept with a huge pool. Inside the condo we had a comfortable and clean experience. Good beds and everything working. We were there in August and only saw one other guest in the entire compound for a week. We loved the secluded vibe and found the location easy to navigate. This is a self catering place. There is no bar/restaurant on site which is how we like it. Quiet! Would stay here again for sure.

We love our annual trips to Cayman and our stay at Silver Sands. It is family oriented that it really makes us feel at home each year we come back. The staff are wonderful and it’s nice to see them each year.

Our family has stayed at Silver Sands on several occasions and as the brochures say "It is one of the best kept secrets on Seven Mile Beach." The beach is never crowded as there is 550 ft of beach and only 42 condos. There is plenty of shade with thatched huts and huge Casuarina trees right on the beach. Our family love the beautiful tropical gardens. The condos are in a semi circle facing the beach.This is a great place for families with small children. The swimming pool is huge and well maintained. There is a covered gazebo on the beach and you can meet down there at sunset for a drink and visit with other guests. Everyone is very friendly. They even have a volleyball court and 2 tennis courts. We especially liked snorkelling off the beach, we were not far from Cemetery Reef which is a great place to snorkel. The staff, Gwenda and Sophia were very friendly and helpful. We had a 2 bedroom condo which was very spacious and well equiped. There are 3 bedroomed condos as well. Silver Sands is an older property but it has been all updated and the owners keep the condos well maintained.The complex seemed to be good for divers also. We even saw some divers being picked up from the beach in the morning to go diving. I would recommend renting a car as this complex is nearer the end of Seven Mile Beach. Andy's Car Rental has good rates. Once you visit Silver Sands you will not want to vacation any where else. We just love it.

Recently visited the Grand Caymans as a family of five and stayed at the Silver Sands Condominiums, which this site strongly advised. We couldn't have been more impressed. The view was spectacular, the beach immaculate, the pool clean and beautiful. The grounds were perfect. The apartment was clean, bright and beautiful. Absolutely no down side. We strongly recommend this locale.

First thanks to Don, Sherry, Marie and Bob for allowing us to use your Condo. This was the most relaxing, awesome vacation we have every taken. The weather was great, a little windy the first couple of days but with the sunshine the breeze was a great relief. People on Cayman were very friendly and helpful. We were not far from Cemetery Beach where the snorkeling was extraordinary. We spent 7 days here the first of December and we cannot wait to return. The landscaping at Silver Sands was just beautiful. The flowers, the greenery and of course the iguanas in the trees was just great. The ground floor condo was just a few feet away from the beach. And just out from our condo was an area marked where there was a turtle nest but the locals do not think that they hatched due to the cool weather they had had during the full moon. The staff at the condos were very nice and again very helpful if we had questions. A resident just a few condos down was just the nicest and she too was very helpful. Thanks Sue and to everyone on the Island.

My husband and I stayed at the Silver Sands condo for a week in January 2008. The location is by far the best on the Seven Mile Beach. With 550 feet on the beach and only about 40 or so units, it is as if you have a totally private beach experience. Not only are there wonderful cabana structures to sit under, but there are the most exquisite huge trees right down by the water which provide the most wonderful dappled shade and ambiance. I am not usually a beach goer, but this was by far the finest beach venue that I have ever experienced. I spent hours under those wonderful trees enjoying the wonderful colors of the Carribean waters. I also had the opportunity to go snorkeling right from the beach and the underwater sights were amazing. While there I walked down the beach to explore other properties and not one had anywhere near the beachfront luxury of Silver Sands, even the so-called "luxury" hotels.
The rental condo which we had was a two bedroom, two and a half bath duplex which was beautifully maintained and had an outstanding view of the Carribean and the lush tropical gardens. Because of the way the buildings are set on the property, it appears that every unit would have an extraordinary view. All come with an open air lanai, perfect for breakfast or watching the wonderful sunsets. The fact that the two bedrooms and two baths were upstairs also added to the vacation because it afforded such privacy. To be able to have such wonderful accommodations at such an affordable rate was quite surprising.
One point I would like to make. When I use trip advisor, I usually book from their site on one of the recommended vendors. When I attempted to book from there for Silver Sands, however, it came up no accomodations available. I ended up calling Silver Sands to find out when they had available rentals and found out that you have to book directly from them. You can use their website www.silversandscondos. com to find out about availability. I am certainly glad that I went the extra mile to book this place. It was outstanding!!!

Beautiful complex. Grounds are well manicured, pool is great and hardly used, lots of beach hammocks, palm teees for natural shade and gorgeous sunsets. Tennis courts are a nice bonus. Walking distance to snorkeling at cementary Reef is great. If you want hustle, bustle and beach staff to bring you drinks, move on. If you want to enjoy the beautiful beach and ocean and have peace and quiet this is for you. I’ve been coming here since I was 10, now I’ve been back twice with my own kids. I hesitated to even give a review because i don’t want others to know how great it is here!

First time at Silver Sands and loved it. The beach was good for snokeling, close to cemetary reef. Mananger and housekeeping very helpful, my husband forgot something and it was mailed back by the manager.Will stay there again, sunsets are the best.

The units that run perpendicular to the road are the furthest from the road and the quietest. The beach is the longest on seven mile beach and is very sandy and quiet. Lots of chairs and places to relax. There are some rocks in the sand close to shore but not a problem entering or exiting the ocean and you don't have to go far to get by them.
