Blu, Michael, Viincent are truly the best. We ordered a wide variety and we all enjoyed our respective meals.

My prior reviews were about the resort and the beach side. I just came back from my trip while staying on the garden side with a kitchenette. This was quite a pleasant surprise for me as I booked last minute and could only get a room across the road. It was great, the pool (non chlorinated which is wonderful) with beach lounges is on this side along with a covered games area with a pool table, and a small library. My room was on ground floor with balcony and a small kitchen area, larger fridge, microwave, toaster and coffee maker along with a 2 burner stove. I bought a few things to have in my room which was a handy option. The beach is across the road which was busy at times, but security guard was always there if you needed help. The rest of the resort was just as great as always, a family run hotel, with a great feel for their guests. The staff are all amazing. please see my other reviews about the beach side.

White Sands is our GO-TO resort that we stay at in Negril. The location is excellent as you can walk all of 7 Mile Beach as you're fairly centrally located. You can also walk to numerous restaurants, shops and bars along Norman Manley Boulevard as well. The staff are excellent! Saddle up to the bar with Paul for one of the daily drink specials, have a seat at Indies 957 for a wonderful meal and delightful service. Henry is always there when you need him to help you out, especially upon your arrival. The property has 2 sides.... the garden side across NMB and the beach side, along 7 Mile. The beach side is where we stay, as the beach is well manicured, has a lifeguard and has security to keep from being overly hassled by vendors. The bar and restaurant both overlook the beach as well. We rent the apartment option as it is very spacious, has a FULL kitchen along with a dining room and a living room. The bedroom is very large with a huge bathroom and a walk in closet. On the garden side there is the in ground pool, pool table and a ping pong table to use. The grounds are beautiful and very well kept. There is also a security guard at the beach side entrance. We definitely recommend White Sands to everyone!

The hotel is nice. The rooms are cute and quaint. The ocean view room isn’t technically an ocean view since the restaurant and bar roofs block most of it. There’s no phones or TV in the room. If you need anything you have to cross a busy street to the front desk if you’re staying on the ocean side. Breakfast is at 8am but be prepared not to eat until 9am since they don’t prep anything early and you have to wait awhile. If you want anything other than OJ coffee or tap water, you have to wait until the bar opens. Literally anything else, even a straw. They don’t provide beach towels to be prepared to bring your own or buy one for $10. The beach is nice in the morning. They rake the sand and in almost positive they spray for mosquitoes. The staff is polite. The lifeguard is cute. There’s plenty activities for so if you speak to the staff about them, they’ll set it up for you. The food is decent depending on the chef that day. Drinks at the bar are cheap and they also do specials. House keeping does a superb job when you get the room clean (every other day).

Thank you for your feedback, will share with our team. Just to provide clarity on a few comments….we do not offer ocean view rooms. All our rooms are sold as garden view. As for layout, half of our property is on the beach side of the road, half is across the road from the ocean. We have a detailed map on our website that shows where all rooms are located. Also, should you require it, our One Bedroom Apartments and our Junior Suite do have TVs. We provide WiFi codes to everyone. Basically we are not a TV property and promote this on our website. It is just not our thing. Hopefully the next time you come you can book a One Bedroom Apartment.

I cannot say enough great things about White Sands Negril! From the amazing rooms to the beautiful beach to the hospitality of the owners and workers! Everything we needed was taken care of immediately and we always came back to a spotless room. The peacefulness of the grounds and homey feel was incredible. We had such an incredibly relaxing week because of how amazing it all is.

I visited Negril August 2020 originally planned to stay at White Sands for 5 days. Those 5 days quickly turned into 3 + weeks. I fell in love with the property almost immediately. The staff is so sweet and super accommodating. Francis is amazing! From upgrading us for free, to easily accommodating us in any way possible, to helping me find a charger for my phone when mine stopped working. White Sands Negril quickly turned into home away from home for us. We left for a few days to visit other parts of the island (Ocho Rios and Portland) and honestly I couldn't wait to get back to White Sands. The beach access is spot on, the security is outstanding, the bar and restaurant are a great touch as well.
In response to COVID, the hotel offers regular temp checks, sanitized rooms, and every other day room cleanings.
The mango tree with the best mangoes I've ever had, is a plus.
I cannot wait to get back to Negril and at White Sands. I already miss it!

Despite the uncertainty and all the hoops involved to get there & come home, we enjoyed our stay. Everyone took this pandemic seriously even though we were mostly outdoors. We liked that room service was done every other day to limit exposure. Quiet all around but the beach was as beautiful as ever.

We recently spent 12 night in the one bedroom apartment and loved every minute of it. With Covid, the resort is on top of everything! The tables, chairs and loungers are sanitized regularly. In one instance, the security guard Vincent, wouldn't let us use a lounger because it hadn't been sanitized since the last person used it. He promptly got us a sanitized lounger and proceeded to sanitize the other lounger for the next user. We love the sundeck and ate most of our meals there. One advantage of the one bedroom apartment was that we cooked several breakfasts in our apartment. A shout out to the staff and bartenders for doing an amazing job and a special shout out to Blu for going above and beyond. We can't wait to return next trip!

I just got a negative covid test today after a wonderful, safe 5 weeks stay at White Sands Negril. I have stayed there before and enjoy the staff,the rooms, the bar and the restaurant. The whole staff, right from the owners to the grounds people treat you like family. The location is right in the middle of all the action on the beach. The covid protocols are first rate..I felt completely safe at all times. I get one of the kitchette rooms across the road on my longer stays and that makes my stay affordable.The beds are comfortable and the housekeepers do a fantastic job. The rates are among the best for their category on the beach. The beach is well groomed daily and the beach security protects you from the vendors if you need it. I look forward to my next visit.

Loved every minute of our stay and every single staff member that served us! Jenique went above and beyond to recommend an outing to Benta River falls and Smart Choice Jerk Center (mouthwatering curry goat!). Henry was so helpful and jovial and warm. Our rooms were immaculately cleaned. The kitchenette was very well stocked and we put the full sized fridge to good use. If coming with a group, it is well worth it to book at least 1 kitchenette room. Walkable restaurants are a bit pricey so it makes a huge difference. There is an amazing fresh fish market before the roundabout where they will clean and cut fish just out of the sea that morning. Aaaahmazing!

Problem is…lots of people put towels on many lounges
early. Then go on a tour or for breakfast elsewhere returning in the afternoon , this is very selfish. . Sad that the people that want the early sun are denied a lounge. . Happens daily. I think the towels shud be removed after a set time if nobody shows up. I know i will do that and advise security.
There are more places to choose from in the Negril area.
