The hotel is a very clean and even has a gym. The rooms are very spacious and has nice view to hills and sea backside. The breakfast fine but the variety of dishes quite limited. There are only few shoulders and the wardrobe has only one shelf, which can be tricky if you travel not alone.

Had a very very nice stay here! The rooms are very clean and spacious. The bathrooms and balcony are great. Their Is an English movie tv channel too. Safe works very well. Staff are very helpful and friendly. I saw the breakfast guy (bee) working across the street at a restaurant in the eve and decided to eat their too. Very very good food! He's a real nice guy too. Staff are great.
Only possible let down is the breakfast. Poor selection.

Upon arrival, sat a member of staff (mee) at the reception. I greeted her in Thai (sawadee ka) got no response or smile.
He tone and response was very rude and when I asked for another room key? She didn’t give me any sign of acknowledge, so I ask again politely and got a blunt ( I know!)
Maybe she’s having a bad day but it’s no way to treat anyone.

This hotel is absolutely horrendous. We've been traveling around Thailand for 3 weeks now and stayed in similar priced hotels. There is NO excuse for all the problems we faced in hotel.
1. BUGS - literally EVERYWHERE. There were these little white spiders all over our room and ants. We spent about an hour spraying them with bug spray
2. NO HOT WATER- there is only 2 of us. How is it possible to run out of hot water?
3. DIRTY BED- our duvet had a huge blood stain on it; it clearly been washed but why would a hotel continue to use a linen that badly stained. There was also a huge blue stain on a pillow? Was it paint? I'm unsure why a hotel would continue you to use that as well.
4. WIFI- worst wifi I have ever had in a hotel. I can't even send an iMessage ..... And it's bad everywhere even in the lobby and the breakfast area. On the second day we were there it completely shut off. We had to go to Anns restaurant across the street to . Because there was no wifi we couldn't email our hotel on ko phi phi about our change in travel plans, so we used the phone in the room. At check out we were charged 60 bahts for the 2 min call, when we explained to the front desk that we needed to do this because the internet down and could she please waive the charge she laughed and said no.
Overall really ruined our stay in Karon. I have never written such a negative review of a hotel.

We booked this hotel because it was cheap and we planned to stay here on our first night in Thailand after a long flight. We arrived late at night and it was pouring down with rain, we were greeted by the doorman with a big umbrella. The reception staff were helpful and friendly, we wanted to go to the islands the next day so they told us where we needed to go and how to get there in the morning. Our room was huge!! Awesome rain shower in the bathroom and a lovely balcony. We were really pleased for 18 and would stay here again. Best nights sleep I have had in ages too :0) We didn't use any of the facilities because we only stayed for one night before travelling elsewhere in Thailand.

I stayed at the Simplitel (how does one pronounce that correctly?) in June 2013. I wanted something budget friendly that was modern, clean and convenient, and that's exactly what I found in this hotel. The prices are ridiculously cheap; I paid $489 for 11 nights. Keep in mind that I stayed during the wet season, of course. The pros: cheap, clean, modern, convenient (10 minutes walk to the beach, plenty of restaurants around), huge King bed and the extremely polite and friendly staff. The staff were just lovely. I've read about some people complaining about how little English they speak, but I didn't have a problem with that. The staff weren't fluent in English, sure, but I didn't expect them to be. They knew enough to communicate with me, and the young man in the restaurant was very friendly and I couldn't get him to stop talking, in fact! The cons: the breakfast could be better, considering that one does pay extra to have breakfast included. Cereal and pastries and fruit would be welcomed, I think, in the case of many westerners. I don't particularly feel like pumpkin soup or stir-fried noodles at 6.30am, although of course I understand that it is the custom in Thailand and many other Asian countries to eat savoury food for breakfast. The only other thing is that the air-conditioning is quite loud in the rooms. Made it a bit hard to sleep.
If you're looking for a budget friendly option and don't mind not having a pool, I would definitely recommend this place.

We stayed in Simplitel for 6 nights. It was comfortable and relaxing! We stayed on the 6th floor, you can oversee the mountains and the resort next door on your balcony. The room is very spacious, the room-cleaning lady tidies the bed, refills mineral water, coffee satchets and soap. There are some English speaking channels available: 5: BBC, 8: Fox News, 33: Universal, 69: FYI and 70: CI to list some. We watched KBS@number 64 all the time.. The counter staff are very friendly and helpful. They will try their best to answer your questions! Ms Nas advised us on the mode of transport to the hotel prior to our trip. The breakfast is alright, 3 options to choose from: fried rice, western breakfast and stir-fried noodles aside from coffee/tea/orange juice/other juices and toasts. The noodles are yummy! (Reminds me of Char Kuay Tiao back in my country). You have to try Nami Ice cream which is conveniently located outside the hotel. Don't forget Red Onion (delicious but the queue is always long during dinner time) and Reaun Seafood which is across the road(the staff are very friendly and the food is not bad too!). The beach is within walking distance so you can grab sunblock, drinks and beach hat along the way. Overall I enjoyed my stay here in Simplitel! Simple, affordable and comfortable; what more can I ask for? :)

I love the how new and modern this hotel is. The rooms were huge, absolutely clean, and smart. All the staff in this hotel were friendly and absolutely helpful during my 3 night stay here. Beach is a short walking distance away. There is a mini mart, hair salon, massage shop infront and next to this hotel. The bed felt FANTASTIC and soft. I fell asleep instantly in it every day. I have to say that when you are in your room, you feel like you are staying in a 3-4 star hotel. Lifts were clean and fast. Unless I decide to stay on the beach next time, this will remain my hotel of choice every time I travel to Phuket. I highly recommend it.

Stayed here for two nights. Karon in general is very calm and not much to do at night. The hotel is a 2 minute walk from the beach and there are bars and restaurants on the same street (only 2 or 3 bars were open past 10pm though...and no food places). The rooms are huge and the staff is great. Hotel is very very environmentally friendly :)) Breakfast is delicious. No pool. For the general prices of Karon and Phuket/ Thailand in general, I thought it was too expensive. But overall, very good stay! :D
