We hope that you can visit Riverview once again after the rainy season, the summer months of March, April and May would be perfect to enjoy our swimming pools and slides. Our resort and hotel guests can look forward to the new massage huts that will be opened in time for summer 2013 to soothe and relax your tired and sore muscles from swimming and other summer fun activities from our expertly trained masseuses and therapists. Our chefs take pride in our newly revamped menu which now offer impeccable Japanese, Continental, Chinese and Filipino dishes to suit your discriminating taste. We look forward to welcome you again on your next visit.

After we went to enchanted kingdom, we head to the riverview resort. It was raining heavily but their staff is very nice and friendly to hand us big umbrellas and go back and forth from the lobbu to our rooms and we truly appriciated that. The room was tidy and new sheet and towels. Their shower have access to cold and hot water which is a big tick for me because most hotels doesn't.
We stayed for a night. There are people singing but I couldnt hear it from our room plus it was raining.
in the morning, we went to the pools which is very nice. My boyfriend jumped unto the shallow part of the pool and cut his toes (my boyfriend's faul) and they treated his wounds quickly with their first aid kit. I liked how they care about the well beings of their costumer.

- would come again

Service
+ Fast check in and fast check out
+ Receptionists and waiters are attentive.
*My friend left some of her clothes in the bathroom. We were informed when we we checked out. We were about to go back, but we were told that the their staff is already on the way so we can just wait for it.

Value
+ Got a really good deal for 3 rooms at agoda, inclusive of breakfast.

Sleep Quality
+ Really cool aircon and comfy bed.
- There were mosquitos inside the room.

Cleanliness
+ New sheets and towels.
+ Room and Bathroom were clean.

Location
+ Near SM Calamba.
+ Very accessible.

Rooms
+ It is average. Do not expect a 3 or 5 star hotel! Good choice if you are in a tight budget.

*If you are looking for a quiet, peaceful and private place, this may not be the best venue for you. There were a lot of day/night guests when we went here.
*Food taste/quality is a little bit above average. It will not disappoint. But the set breakfast is really expensive.

*Their pool is big, mayve about 1/3 of an olympic size pool.

upon checking in and seeing the room, i as appalled at how dirty it was and how expensive this was costing me. bed had no sheets, had to ask for them, pillows had no covers, had to call and ask for them as well. water was constantly being cut off or shut off, had to call for that as well, air conditioner was less than average. if you are a foreigner, beware, they will take advantage of you. the place is called riverview, but the river is not as if you were seeing the Hudson of the Thames River, it is nasty and dirty, the pool is not private to guest, it is a public pool who all that wishes to bathe can pay a fee. Lets talk about customer service, worst ever!!!

I had an overnight stay for an event in one of their deluxe rooms this week. My father accompanied me to this event. A few hours after we checked in, my father was sitting on the chair and watching tv while i was about to take a nap when an employee BARGED IN and open our locked door with his keys. We were shocked as to what was the concern of the employee and he said was going to install something. According to him, he didnt know that our room was occupied. Huh? No coordination from the front desk as to which rooms where occupied? The audio from the tv was blarring as my father was watching a movie and he didnt hear any noise upon barging the door? Not even a knock as a courtesy? My father asked for the employee's name and reported it immediately at the front desk. Take note that the employee was not a trainee and had been working there for few years now. That was terrifying actually and made us feel unsafe especially with our valuables from the employees themselves. Another concern was the poor customer service. After arriving in the room, i forgot to ask how to operate the water heater. It was evening time already when i asked for assistance on how to use it. Front desk person said somebody will come to assist me. 2 hours later, nobody came to our room and i had to figure out myself how to turn the water from the shower as it didnt have the usual knob which can be turned on and off. I called the front desk again to said that nobody came so i figured it out myself. She was shocked and apologetic that nobody went to assist us. Management should do something about this. Overall, i was not satisfied with my experience in this hotel.

There is scarcely a more graceless place in the Philippines than the industrial backwater of Calamba. I repeatedly find myself there only because my girlfriend lives there. There really isn't much choice of where to stay there. At one end of town is a bunch of "resorts" built around hot springs. Most of them are run down and rent their rooms in 8 hour intervals. They cater to pool parties which are as likely to happen at 2 am outside your window as in the more civilized hours of the day. And then you can argue with management over control of the air conditioning knob as an added bonus.
The Riverview is the only conventional option (ie. Full service hotel with standard check in and check out). I've seen this place in a typhoon with roof tiles blowing off the roof and water leaking on the TV. With the pool green with algae. But through it all the room rate was commensurate with the quality of the place.
On my recent trip I found that the room prices had inflated to the level of a reasonably nice mid priced hotel in down town Manila with no observable changes to the hotel, rooms or the surly kitchen staff. At 8 am I was treated to techno music at full blast through concert sized speakers aimed right at the guest rooms. It was so loud the door rattled. The windows would have rattled too if there were any! The culprits were two tour buses full of employees from a local company having a company pool party. I guess I can be grateful they at least waited till 8 am. I checked out with all reasonable haste.

The WiFi has never worked at this hotel. This trip the sewer gas came up the shower drain and the smell was so bad we had to keep the bathroom door shut.

Next visit I will try harder to find an viable alternative to the Riverview, even if I have to ride in from out of town

Booked two deluxe rooms via agoda which according to their website merits me an upgrade to junior suite (promo at that time). To confirm, I sent them sms ahead of the actual stay and they confirmed that indeed we have been upgraded. I also asked if we can check in early and they said this is subject to availability.

Come day of check in, we arrived a little before 12nn. I asked if we can have early check in. They asked for P600 fee. As we were already there, I agreed and paid extra. The rooms we had were OK. A bit old but functional and spacious. Basic toiletries were provided. However, we never got the promised "free upgrade". The OK rooms were the deluxe rooms that I originally booked. So much for the promo.

Food and the free (plated) breakfast were OK. We asked for room service and it was delivered about 20mins upon order. The guy delivering food was pleasant and prices were reasonable.

All in all, it wasn't a bad experience. But neither is it a memorable one. I just suggest they don't make promos of free upgrade when it is clearly not true in our case.

We had traveled to Laguna to visit with some friends when we were advised that we should not travel back to Manila due to Typhoon Pedring. What a great stroke of luck that we found Riverview Resort.. it was our haven from the storm.. as Typhoon Pedring raged around us we found shelter there and also managed to have a wonderful relaxing time.
The staff is very friendly and went out of their way to meet our needs. We were given a complete tour of the facilities and found that the resort has rooms for groups as well as couples. Also the facilities there are quite nice.. the very large pool is clean and has a fun slide that we used a lot.
