We first stayed at the Tsa 20 years ago - we loved it then. Coming back it had only got better, still the same family welcome, but beautifully upgraded rooms and even better food. We loved the flexibility to deal with mountaineers early breakfasts, the relaxed and friendly staff and the peace and beautiful Situation in the heart of the mountains.

Hotel Aiguille de la Tza is located further in the valley past the actual village of Arolla if you arrive from the Col de Riedmatten. The family run hotel is very welcoming. The staff is very helpful. Another great place to have your laundry done at a very reasonable price. Our room was spacious and very quiet. The shared bathroom on the same floor was clean and spacious. The toilets were clean and separate from the shower. The beds were super comfortable. We had a pre dinner drink on the terrace which was great. There are beautiful mountain views and of the Aiguille de la Tza. There is a bell you need to ring for service on the terrace, which is quite quaint. We had dinner at the restaurant. The food was really delicious. Breakfast was copious. The owner of the hotel is very knowledgeable on walks and things to see and do around the area.

We spent a long weekend here, this time in summer.
Room was simple with sink and shower - shared toilet. Price is very good for Switzerland.
We had a small balcony which we enjoyed every evening.
Food was good but the raclette menu is not worth the money - better to buy portions...
All the wines we had were good.
Lots of great hikes from here.

The dorms were cozy, rooms were a bit small but there's a sink at least. There's 1 toilet on every floor and 2-3 showers.

There's a restaurant downstairs which really gives you a chance for a good, affordable meal.

The owner was very nice and friendly, and helped us a lot. Location-wise, it's a 10-15 minutes downhill walk from the centre of Arolla. Not good if you don't have a car, but great if you do Haute Route, as you won't have to come back downtown.

Overall, we liked it!

We arrived on the wrong day and they were very understanding and even upgraded us to a newly renovated room. Nice facilities in a rustic (read historic) place... very friendly people and good food.
Outside the village so very quiet - very close to the ski lifts.
At the start of the snowshoe trails (photo).

This is a remodeled place worth staying in. Food is fantastic, both dinner as well as breakfast is just to die for. Bathroom was large, tub was huge, bedroom had plenty of room to move around, chairs were a nice touch, view is gorgeous, bed is very, oh very comfortable. Staff was pleasant and accommodating.

We were staying in Arolla camping and looking for somewhere to watch the Swiss football game and have a beer. Very welcoming family who own the hotel watched the match with us and had a great time.Pizza there looked great so we returned a couple of days later to try it out. Host family were again very welcoming, pizza was great and good value.
Whilst walking to get the bus on our last day in Arolla the owners waved and said goodbye to us out of the window which we really appreciated

We just spent a night, obtaining a free upgrade to the very nice upper floor romantic suites. Beds were very comfy, both the matrass as well as the linnen. Bath tub is huge.
Certainly worthwhile the 20 CHF surplus.

We stayed while walking the Haute Route and were made very welcome. As the hotel was not crowded we were given a dormitary to outselves. Clean basic accommodation with a nice restaurant and bar. Good wholesome evening meal and breakfast.
