Stayed one night in a large, updated King room with a mini kitchenette (fridge, microwave, induction cooktop and Kerrigan coffee maker). Nice clean room, very comfortable bed and decent breakfast (yogurt, fresh fruit, cereal, hard boiled eggs, bagels and waffles all individually wrapped). I’m picky when it comes to “budget” hotels/motels but would stay here again. Only recommendation would be for Kanata to clean off the dodgy barbecues out by the gazebo and maybe add a few decorative flower pots. But, overall, a very nice quick stay and super affordable with the gold stay and play package.

I stayed here for three nights in a double queen with a kitchenette. Beds were comfortable, the room was spotless and up to date. Although I didn’t use the kitchenette to the extent that I thought I might it had everything that one would need to do a meal. We used the bbq one night and both bbqs need to be cleaned as well as filling up the tanks. Very professional, friendly and knowledgeable staff. Would definitely stay here again. Despite the fact that the trains go through this area on a regular basis I did not hear them.

You have a few hotel options when travelling through Crowsnest Pass, and I'd say that The Kanata is one of the best. Staff were friendly, and check-in was quick and easy. There was ample parking. The hotel itself is well kept, the carpets maybe could use a cleaning. The room was clean, modern, with decent amenities. They were relatively quiet; being on the main floor we could hear a touch of foot traffic and definitely when dogs were barking but otherwise noise wasn't an issue. We had a nice view to the river and the hotel is a few steps from a great walking path that will take you to restaurants, parks, etc. The continental breakfast was standard fare, but the room is enclosed and I'll be honest that I was a little unnerved by some coughing guests and the inability to social distance. Just arrive early to avoid a crowd! I would definitely stay again.

I usually stay at the big chains but decided to do something different. The wife and I wanted to go exploring some some small towns this weekend. That’s how we ended up in crowsnest. From the easy booking process from their website, getting texts on day of arrival (they ask permission to send). The hotel is very clean. A huge smile greeted us and got us all checked in. We stayed in 103. The room was modern, very clean, excellent bed (I usually don’t sleep well the first night in hotels) I slept so well and was comfy. There was lots of coffee for the Kerig. The breakfast was perfect for us as we are not huge eaters with a large selection of items to chose from. Check out was a breeze we will be back when the world opens again to visit the area and we will stay here again. In the area there is 3 brew pubs with one just down the street. Check them out and stay at this hotel.

We stayed at the Kanata in Blairmore and had a wonderful stay. The staff are friendly, the hotel is clean and the rooms are spacious . We had a king room that had all the amenities we wanted as well as a really comfortable bed. There was a coffee machine in the room and a grab & go breakfast that we brought to our room.
We booked the stay & play that was a great deal where they booked our tee time at the Crowsnest Pass golf course and it was included in the rate. The golf course is fantastic and we really enjoyed it. It was a really nice getaway and we definitely go back.

Arrived late after a great day of skiing. Room was immaculate, modern, bright and quite large for a double queen, beds were very comfortable and linens were new. The mini kitchenette is pretty sweet countertop stove and everything you need to cook a meal. We were too tired to cook and found the attached restaurant served superb food. Complimentary beverage and snack stations near the lobby made me even more impressed. Well deserved 5 stars.

Nice location with helpful front desk staff on duty.
Good location with nearby bar/grill nearby for eats.
Excellent beds with ok pillows
Clean room and linens. Carpet not so much.
Ample parking with good lighting.
Breakfast is a sit down with basics juice, coffee, toast, fruit, yogurt and waffles.
Priced on the higher side of value/$ paid.
Will stay here again.

Cons:
Hallway carpets are in severe need of commercial grade cleaning.
Room carpets need cleaned as well.
Rooms are more on the smaller side.
Sink was very slow to drain. Tub was ok.
These things are usual signs of management not on there game and motel is in state of decline. Hope this is not the case here as it’s a nice place.

Normally I skip the "AD" listings when I search for things online, but I was in a hurry that day. I ended up booking my room for two nights through a third party and not the front desk. I received my booking email and then a confirmation closer to my arrival date. Several members of the group attending the business meetings advised me that they struggled to find rooms as our large group swamped the little town. I counted myself lucky. On the day of my arrival (and I arrived late) the front desk clerk couldn't find my reservation. I showed her my booking and confirmation emails; she assured me they would find a room, but there was nothing left in the system. She called Wendy Morrison, the General Manager, who came right to the desk and gave me the Presidential Suite at the same rate as what I had booked online. Great people can make an experience even better.

We stayed here during the spring break, and it was okay. We found somebody's underwear in a drawer, though, so felt that the room could have been cleaned more thoroughly before we arrived. It's basic, though, and generally was otherwise fine.

Good stay in Blairmore. The Kanata checks all the boxes with a clean and comfortable bed, good shower, a fridge & microwave, & dog friendly rooms. The continental breakfast was very adequate with cereal, breads, waffles, boiled eggs etc. Good coffee plus hot drinks also available in the lobby. This seems to be the best hotel in the area. Blairmore is a quiet small town, and commerces etc close early. I’d stay at the Kanata again if I was in the area.
