Visiting Montville for a weekend break. Clouds is located just outside Montville with views over the coastlands. Rooms are spacious and comfortable. Microwave, fridge, toaster and kettle allow for simple food preparation and crockery and utensils were well stocked. There is a cafe onsite where coffee and breakfast is available.
Rooms are lined up along the road although we weren’t disturbed by traffic noise. We were on the ground floor and there was a seating area outside the room. This was directly on the car park so not really that usable - assuming placement was to make the most of the view but sitting down, the view was hidden by a bank between the car park and road. Would have been better to have a seating area on the other side of the building. The arrangement worked better for first floor rooms.
The pool was open, and for a Pom, wasn’t too cold. Due to the time of year, with falling leaves etc. they had to leave the pool cleaner machine in the pool which was not ideal. Paths could have done with more regular cleaning as fallen fruit debris seemed to attract a lot of ants.
One thing to consider; We had reservations at restaurants in Maleny and Montville and would have preferred not to have to drive. Montville does not seem to be well served with taxi services and we decided to forego drinking alcohol and drove to the restaurants ourselves.
We would definitely consider staying again in future.

The Windsong cottage was lovely. The bedroom, bath, shower, kitchen and toilet areas were bright and spotless. It looked like the cottage was undergoing a bit of a rejuvenation because the kitchen table, chairs, couch and coffee table did not match with the rest of the beautiful furnishings. The kitchen table in particular should be thrown out. The design of the cottage and large TV were definitely appreciated. The bed was very comfortable. A little bit of a clean up outside was necessary as there was a hangar on the walkway, worker glove, orange tape and drink can to be seen just outside the balcony. A little walk around the property and it would have been in top shape. It is close to the road so you do hear traffic but inside the cottage was peaceful.

We mostly enjoyed our 4 night stay at Clouds Montville. Our studio apartment was ideal for a family of 4 with a well equipped kitchenette. The place was new, modern, well decorated and situated, with a great pool for chn. I would have liked some room servicing however every few nights at least. Due to COVID, we read in the room booklet that servicing was only done for a 5 night stay or more. The male cleaner was not friendly when we asked for a few more supplies although we ended up buying more toilet paper and tissues from the local supermarket. It was also a shame to hear the people above us walk around so loudly. They sounded like giants!

Room tidiness 10/10, Scenery and Surroundings 10/10, Bed & Furnishings 10/10 Customer Service 1/10 my wife and I were greeted by a young chap and we had obviously interrupted his lunch break to check us in. A little later we asked a young girl about our complimentary breakfast as we were staying for 3 nights, and were told she didn't know but just come up in the morning and someone should know. We did come up at opening time of 8.00 but the chef didn't have a key to the bistro and neither did the staff member who made a call to someone to try and have them come and open up. We left and had breakfast in Montville. On the Monday morning we went up for breakfast and the poor relief chef was on his own as the other staff member did not show up. My wife wanted a coffee but this was not possible as there was no one to make it. I did have a delightful Eggs Benny and my wife had toast, on finishing breakfast neither the chef nor the lady who has come in from the office knew how to use the register so it was charged to our room. I understand there are staff cut backs with COVID however for an establishment that boasts luxury accomodation and service they should make more of an effort with their customer service.

Enjoyed the large, fully renovated room. Well organised with kitchenette, an actual separate freezer in the mini fridge (so we could properly refreeze esky blocks), separate and well appointed bathroom/toilet, comfortable queen bed and table and chairs to eat at. Netflix available on TV. Didn't take advantage of pool, but will remember for next time. Good continental breakfast with yoghurt, bread, spreads, small fruit cup, cereal packet, milk and orange juice. Would happily return for another visit now that it has all been refurbished.

Stayed for 3 nights. Lovely clean modern room, modern amenities. Very comfortable bed (probably the best hotel bed I’ve slept in for a long time. Quiet and private. Friendly helpful staff. Close drive to Montville. Only downside was breakfast. They don’t offer full continental breakfast here unfortunately. Full breakfast is offered at Clouds “Big Barrel”. Went here on our last morning, had to pay for cooked breakfast, not extra but fully pay, only for it to be a bit disappointing … menu said cooked to order, not a chance, bacon was precooked in an oven, poached eggs on both our meals were rock hard. Partners spinach on his eggs Bennie were just leaves tossed on a plate. However, this was the ONLY fault. Would recommend Clouds anytime! Great place to stay

Our first floor room, with separate bedroom, was modern and clean with a good-sized shower and bathroom. Our view over the hinterland to the coast from the room and adjoining shared balcony, was as we expected. We received a voucher for complimentary coffee in the onsite cafe and also a bacon & egg breakfast each which was a welcome surprise. We celebrated our wedding anniversary with dinner in the cafe which has a very limited menu of about 5 main course choices and a cheese selection. The food was nice and served hot. This property has a small pool and is set in lovely green surrounds and is a short drive from Montville which is one of our favourite spots for cafes and shops in the Sunshine Coast hinterland.

What a beautiful place. Views are spectacular. All fully renovated to an extremely high standard. We were pleasantly surprised how elegant Clouds is. Our ocean view room had a kitchenette with all amenities you could need. Spacious shower. Very clean. They are still in the process of renovating⁹/building cafe etc, but currently leave continental breakfast in the room. Staff are lovely. Only a few minutes drive to picturesque Montville village, which has an array of delightful shops and cafes. Our son is 9, he slept on sofa bed and it was really comfortable. He also highly recommends Clouds Montville.

We chose Clouds Montville for a 4 night stay, 7 chose a motel style unit with panoramic views out to Caloundra. The room was very spacious for a couple, with bedroom & living areas separate. There was a microwave & electric frypan available for meal preparation, & plenty of crockery & cooking implements, however, we chose to eat out or buy takeaways. The cafe on site provided the included breakfast, which although continental had plenty of options and quantity, however did not provide other meals, just sandwiches, rolls, wraps and cakes. The bed was very comfortable. Clouds has lovely, extensive & well maintained gardens, & a large pool area. Montville & Maleny & the surrounding areas are very picturesque, with lots of activities, shops,boutiques, wineries, restaurants and bush walks. We really enjoyed our stay.

One of 3 of the hinterland Clouds chain. This is only a 10 room motel, but all rooms have views of Caloundra / Bribie Passage on the Sunshine Coast. Clean and very spacious rooms. Great cafe that does fantastic breakfasts. Very convenient to Montville - 3 km away. I’ll be back for sure.

We are sorry to say we are unable to allow any dogs stay with us. We travel with our dog and only stay at pet friendly places that are equipped to cope with pets.
