The hotel is perfect for exploring Milan on your own. We walked all around Milan. Also within a block from the hotel is a subway station and street bus stops. I doubt if the hotel offers trips; however, within Milan there are numerous travel locations offering day trips through Italy and beyond. I can’t help you on your New Year’s Eve question.

You can arrange your own trip to all lakes, including Como. Hilton is perfectly located 2 min walk from Milano Centrale, from where you can a regional train to Verbana, Como. Hope this helps!

We wen by train really messy and by instruction by the concierge staff from the hotel. Train station is 5m walk to the left when exiting the hotel at your left hand side tickets were 5€ standard or 7,5 $ 1st class you take the training to como Walker down From the station to village centre by the harbour but tickets up river (we bought return which was easier) there’s those taxi boats as there are in the Thames and they stop in several stations

I think there are every 20 minutres or so.

This hotel is slain walking susteve to the Domo (15/20 minutes walk
