There is a good coffee shop and small bakery around the corner. The metro line is 1 block away. It was 2 Euros for a round trip to Placa de Catalunya.

The hotel has a restaurant and it was good..good coffee good pastries. Also, there is a market around the corner.

There are a lot of tapas bars and restaurants around this hotel. If you can't find what you want, the Plaza Catalunya is just a 10-minute cab ride. Hope this helps.

We did try to find something good, but I did not like anything: one café located right next to metro and food store- smells like a bad fish all the time, because of a tiny fish market right here, a different one just a cross the street, but we dislike it also. Sorry I cannot advice anything. May be we was point to wrong directions. Good luck!
