- YuppieLionheartPhilippines508 contributionsMa-Cho Temple (Taoist temple) is a place of worship and a tourist attraction. Please be observant and respect the rules. You can appreciate the beautiful architecture of this place with a picture perfect spot on the top wherein you can view the vast lands of San Fernando.Written January 28, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Not much to do around the area, since it is the only thing that exist on the area for tourist. No other amenities and activities available, if you were looking for an additional thing to do around this location. Nice place to have several pictures and a lot of oval/circular stones around the beaches (go at your own risk)Written January 20, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - NPLimLaguna Province, Philippines288 contributionsNot everyday we see this beautiful farm filled with grapes! When going around Caba, La Union, there are many grape farms. Some allows you to pick grapes from the tree as long as you pay for it, but for some farms you won’t be allowed to pick but you can buy the grapes that were already harvested by the farm owner.
The grapes aren’t that sweet and not all are seedless but the experience was worth the effort. My kids loved this activity. - jonathanreyneraBacarra, Philippines12 contributionsI must say it is not the best beach i have been but it is changing. the people are now becoming more environmentalists. The place is great.. just need more education for the locals to take care of it. Nevertheless, there are very beautiful nature in the hills and mountains overlooking the beach.Written June 16, 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - mo10Bellevue, WA170 contributionsWe went up on a Sunday late morning. The lines were long, but not outrageous. The statue itself is a must see. I felt like we had to see it since we were in Rio and I'm glad we did. The line to get up however, was a different story. When you self buy the tickets it gives you a time and a "loading group" as far as I can tell this means nothing. We waited over an hour for our time and then stood in line, missed our time and group and they let anyone with any time in. It was a highly confusing system. Once on the bus it was slick. The statue is obviously over crowded but that was to be expected. It is a must see because of its fame, and status as a world heritage site, but know that the line system is meaningless and you'll be very confused.Written January 14, 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - YuppieLionheartPhilippines508 contributionsSt. Catherine of Alexandria Parish (The Shrine of Our Lady of Namacpacan) is Luna's cultural treasure. The architecture of the church is simple with a beautiful interiors. It has the miraculous Our Lady Apo Baket of Namacpacan, which was the title given to the Blessed Virgin Mary by the natives of La Union. The word "Namacpacan" means "The Lady who feeds".Written January 14, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - YuppieLionheartPhilippines508 contributionsBahay Na Bato is built from pebble stones from Luna's pebbled beaches. This is a rest house owned by a private individual which has wooden sculptures and stones from a Korean artist. - dencon1219Luzon, Philippines85 contributionsIt was nice that they have a scheduled Mass in English for locals and tourists alike. The church itself was old with a touch of modern technology for participation.Written June 10, 2018This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
