We saw a lot of dolphins, jumped in more often and stayed longer than the other boats. Snorkeling in the reef was really great too! We really chose the right boat thanks to Viator. - BanoffibarfiCheltenham, UK44 contributionsWe booked this trip via our hotel, it worked out cheaper than online and if the weather prevented us from flying, we would have got our money back. Luckily, it was raining in Zanzibar but dry in Tanzania so we were good to go. We had a pick up from the hotel at 5:00 to take us to the airport, due to the weather, our 7:00 flight was delayed to 8:00. Flying into the safari park, straight onto a jeep and the adventure begins.
It doesn't matter how many safaris or countries you see wild animals in their natural habitats, it's always mesmerising. We were lucky to see the elephants, giraffes, baby warthogs, crocodiles, hippos, birds, gazelles, wildebeest and a pride of lionesses. The driver/guide was knowledgeable and explained as we drove through. The included lunch was plentiful and satisfying.
There was further exploration after lunch before our flight back at 16:00. The pilot was very friendly, informative and flew smoothly, especially through heavy rain, which is why the flight back took a little 80 mins to get back.

The walking tour gave us a nice history of Stone Town. Our visit to Prison Island introduced us to many giant tortoises and we even had the chance to snorkel in the beautiful clear water. Delicious fruits for a snack, fresh fish, rice and local veg curry for lunch. Ask him about any fish you see while snorkeling and he knows it. Besides, Ibrahim and Omar were flexible and we had the opportunity to enjoy each activity.

He took good care of us during the tour and taught us history of Zanzibar and a lot of information about different spices. - AgataNew York City, NY43 contributionsZanzibar is definitely a paradise with amazing friendly people. This tour was an experience. The Mnemba Island is so pretty. Unfortunately, nowadays is not permitted to visit the island. So, you actually snorkel around it “chasing” dolphins. And when I say “chasing” is more kind of a hassle. It was not fun to watch honestly. After the Mnemba Island, we had lunch @The Rock Restaurant. It’s definitely worth it. Nice vibes and beautiful view. The Blue Lagoon was okay. The ocean was choppy and we didn’t see much. The Starfish Tour was phenomenal!! Our nahodha (captain) was the best! He grew up fishing in that area… and he really amazed us!! The tide was high… so he dived and brought some for us to check out and then we put it back into the ocean. It was magnificent!!!! To end the tour we did the Liza Cave. Very nice!! Our tour guide Jameelow and our driver Ibrahim were super friendly and really made a difference during the day!!! - Henry J22 contributionsWe just got back from the most wonderful, and magical day. Everything ran super smooth from pick-ups, to flights and then onto the Safari. Our driver and guide were really friendly, and our guide was very knowledgeable and answered all and any questions we had. The jeep was comfortable and allowed a lot of shade for when it got really hot.
The setting as you land during sunrise is stunning, and then it's off into the bush! We were over the moon to see elephants, zebra, giraffe, water buffalo, hippos, impala, warthogs, wildebeest, baboons even a cobra! There are a few jeeps out there, and they all communicate with each other in regards to where the animals are so rest assured. If the animals are spotted you'll most likely get to see them. The Lions illuded us this time, but honestly, it really didn't matter. Seeing these amazing creatures in their natural habitat is a gift. The memories we made today are ones we will treasure forever.
Some tips. Make sure your hotel packs you a breakfast box as you will stop for coffee but not lunch until 12/1pm. There are snacks you can buy after you've gone through security though.

When we arrived they showed us an introductory video and answered all our questions.
The instructors, and everyone here are truly incredible. It is super safe, fun, and an amazing environment for a first timer like me! The views are just amazing as well.
