We had the best day touring with Oscar on our recent cruise stop. He was so knowledgeable and friendly. He went the extra mile for my dad, who is in a wheelchair, so he could hug the sloths and play with the monkeys, too. We also appreciated the opportunity to support the local chocolate and rum producers. Oscar made this our favorite stop and fulfilled a bucket list item for my mom.

We had the BEST time with this excursion! Dolfos Stanley was our tour guide, and we could not be happier! We speak Spanish, but were pleasantly surprised to find out that he spoke fluent English, even without an accent. He explained that on the Island of Roatán the first language is English and the second is Spanish. He sounded more like he was from Jamaica. So don’t worry about a language barrier here! We were in a private van, just us and Dolfos! This was nice because we didn’t have to share the trip. The van had nice and cold air conditioning as well! He took us wherever we wanted to go. We held monkey and sloths first. I didn’t realize that where we were wasn’t the zoo, so please be aware that if you want to go to the zoo, be specific about that. If you just want to hold a monkey or a sloth, they have some in large cages you can pet and hold for $15 a person. After that, we went to the West End. We wanted to see the beaches and the recommended “nice end of town”. We also did a glass bottom boat trip. It was $35 per person. It was a boat that was half submerged underwater. The boat was air conditioned and we were out for about 45 minutes. We go to see the coral reef and different fish. My son loved it. The tour guide for the boat was very knowledgeable about the fish and the coral reef.
We had great conversation with Dolfos, and knowing our 18 month old loved watermelon, he stopped and got us one on his own. He let us try some other typical fruit such as a Cashew Fruit. Who knew a cashew nut is grown on top of a delicious fruit!?? We had a great lunch at a local restaurant as well. Overall, we had the best time and highly recommend this excursion. Especially if you just want to make up your day as you go. It was very relaxing and fun.

We had a great time snorkeling with the group. We enjoyed the ship wreck, starfish. And the big blue hole. We were able to enjoy watermelon and homemade banana bread too. Great experience.

For the first time I decided to be a tourist in my parent’s country and this excursion was all I need to understand the depth of the Honduran culture. Learning the difference between the Garifuna people, islanders who speak English creole, and those of only Spanish decent. We had awesome Benson as our driver who talked to us thru the our in entire trip about Roatan its ports and the fun things the locals do. When we got to the ATVs we rode down to Punta Gorda where most of the Garifuna people live on the island. Going about 25-35 miles a hour speeding thru the rocky paths. Then headed to the wildlife sanctuary where we got interact with the multitude of animals including moneys and sloths. Overall my brother and I had an amazing time.

This tour was fantastic!! Dani happily accommodated our requests and answered all of our questions within minutes. Andres was our guide-couldn’t have been a sweeter guy. He basically gave us a mini tour on the way to the boat, chatted about the island and all sorts of things. He explained where to go at each dive spot and then free dived along side us to point out any particularly interesting fish, squid, etc. Also, the snorkel equipment was like new and very comfortable.
    Highly recommend!!!

This tour was wonderful! We did a private tour with just 6 of us and were able to do exactly what we wanted. Our driver, Big Al, was friendly and helpful--he gave us a lot of history and went out of his way to show us some cool sites.

We were most interested in the Monkey and Sloth experience and it was so great! We have two fairly timid kids and the guides were so gentle and patient with them. It took some time but both of my timid kids held sloths! That would not have happened if we had been rushed. Our animal guide, Arthur, was so patient and calm! We loved it! And going int he enclosure with the monkey was so fun! The best part!

We’re in our 70’s. All of the Carnival tours seemed to include beaches, zip lines, ATVs, etc. We wanted a more calm inland experience. Do Roatan Day Tours had a lot of great reviews, so we booked with them! So glad we did! David was waiting for us just past the taxi stand with our name on a sign, so he was easy to locate. He had a nice vehicle with great AC! David was very friendly and a great tour guide. He took us to all the places: monkey and sloth experience, and rum and chocolate factories. We were allowed as much time as needed and we were given cold bottles of water. David gave us insight into the different areas of Roatan as well as the different races and cultures. Roatan has a fascinating history regarding pirates and their treasure. We loved our time there. He did a great job and I hope to see him again someday for another tour!

Amazing experience on the horses! The ATVs were a lot of fun ads ell! The guys were amazing and even loaned me a pair of shoes because it had rained and was muddy. Was proactive in picking us up even though we were never able to complete the pick up location question online. Was a huge relief when they called and texted the morning of the excursion.

This place was amazing from start to finish! Great value for money. They arranged transport as part of package from cruise port. The driver gave us tour of Roatan on 30 minute drive. You take a 5 minute boat over to island. Gorgeous beach with cabanas and umbrellas included in yourpackage. Stefanie was our hostess and she made sure the day was perfect! “Even gave me the shirt off her back” ( btw I will have to bring a Dallas shirt with me when I come back) you can snorkel right in the reef there. We chose snorkeling as our water sport bit could have done paddle board or kayak. The food was excellent and just wonderful flavors! They certainly don’t water down their drinks. The Long Island was to die for! Stefanie suggested it! We spent entire day there and loved it! We are bringing our kids back in a few weeks! The bathrooms were spotless and whole area very clean! We will definitely come whenever we are in Roatan! Thank you!

Tyler was our driver and guide for hydro bikes. He was amazing and very good at helping us have a good time on the bikes and throughout the day. He took us to stores we asked to go to afterwards and made sure we were on time. I can’t recommend this tour enough. Don’t hesitate to book it!!!

Amazing excursion. Excellent customer service. The drift snorkeling water was so clear, and our guide was so nice showing us all the fish and coral in the water. The monkeys, parrots, and sloths were fun too. We got to spend quality time with the animals and did not feel rushed at all. I highly recommend and would book again.

On a recent cruise (Carnival Breeze) we opted for the Tabyana Beach Break excursion.

First the bad (lets get that out of the way) TRANSPORTATION- our bus was crowded and more importantly DID NOT have air conditioning. This made for a rather uncomfortable start.

The great- There is a buffet style lunch (extra fee that was rather tasty according to my wife).

The wait staff- fantastic and fast. You could almost speak their name and they would appear-ready to get you your choice of libation from the bar.

There were plenty of beach chairs and available shade which is a must.

Massage on the beach. Aracely Professional Massage Oh my yes. There were 3 therapists to offer that service. I waited till later in the day and was graced with the owner Aracely to work on my tense neck and shoulders. HIGHLY recommended!

Now I am a music lover and another HUGE recommendation is the 2 piece reggae band by the bar. Jeff and Loren played the entire day and they were fantastic! Be generous with your tips they truly deserve it!

    Now the beautiful- the beach.

It is truly a beautiful place. There are activities right at the edge you can participate in (snorkeling, kayaking etc) and down the beach are several other options.

The blue water is peaceful and there are guides available to take you to the reefs.

There is one other thing that bears mentioning. The buy me buy me people. There is a constant stream of people walking up and down the beach trying to sell you something. From bracelets to shells to clothing or popsicles. They will swarm you trying to sell you what they can. They are just trying to make a living in a poor country.

Occasionally the police will walk the beach and they will scatter and they are not allowed to come into the Tabyana property. The security guards keep them out and will keep an eye on your belongings so you can play.

One extra gem is a guy who walks the beach with a White Faced Capuchin Monkey named George. You can get your pics with (for a fee of course). He’s a real sweetheart.

Enjoyed it much more as a private tour in comparison to the large group tours. The driver was very informative. You don't feel rushed. You have time to shop with the locals. It doesn't cost more than a bus tour and you get a better quality tour.

We took a tour with this company when our cruise stopped in Roatan. I was a little hesitant to take an excursion that was not sponsored by our cruise ship, but I think we had a better experience this way. It was much less crowded than cruise-sponsored excursions and a way more personalized experience. It was a little confusing finding them once we left the cruise port, but once I found where we needed to be everything worked out fine. Jay was our tour guide and he was excellent! He took us to the monkey/sloth tour and explained how to access our snorkel and beach excursions afterward. All 3 excursions were excellent! We were a little late returning to the spot where he picked us up, but I was relieved to find him waiting there for us and so grateful that he was patient with us. Lashan was very helpful with all of my questions prior to the day. If we ever return to Roatan I would definitely organize our tours with them again. Thank you Jay and Lashan for a wonderful experience!
