- Aaron V4 contributionsOur tour with Elli was fantastic! I always admire people who are enthusiastic about what they are doing. She definitely enjoyed talking about the Acropolis. Even though it was extremely hot, she did not speed through anything. I definitely recommend a tour with Athenian Tours-Elli for the historical sites so you can get the most out of what you see. - Jaymi B1 contributionMy family of 4 did the all day cruise and I honestly can’t say enough amazing things about this crew, the experience, and the food. Omg the food! It was phenomenal! There was an amazing spread of Greek food and everything was delightful (even my picky 12 year old loved it). The crew was beyond kind, went above and beyond to make sure we enjoyed every moment and they were funny as well. The island visits were wonderful! - Dennis KPlano, TX265 contributionsOlive Sea Travel was an amazing way to see Athens. We booked them for a full day private tour during a port stop in early June. We also added a private guide. They were simply wonderful. Our tour included the Temple of Zeus, the Olympic Stadium, the Agora, the Acropolis, the Acropolis museum, a drive by of some other important sites, other stops for photo ops, a coffee break, lunch, and more.
I really couldn't have asked for more from them. They picked us up promptly from the cruise port and whisked us on our way in a private vehicle. The guide was incredibly knowledgeable, and our driver was very friendly. They really knew which things to emphasize on the tour. Plus, it was great having our own airconditioned vehicle to come back to after each stop.
As we were on a cruise, they were very conscious of getting us back to the ship on time. Our schedule was juggled a little to maximize our time in Athens and guarantee we got back to the port before the all aboard time. Maria made several stops in shaded areas on the way to the top. She was extremely knowledgeable about ancient Greek history and culture. We had plenty of time to visit all the monuments in the Acropolis, which was an amazing experience. Maria then continued the tour inside the museum. Not too busy and great value for money. If you don't fancy spending hundreds then would highly recommend this. Did not feel like we missed out at all. Our guide and qualified wine expert was welcoming and informative, we had a great time with the other participants, and the wines from the 3 wineries were in abundance and with very tasty snack foods. Even towards the end with everyone having quite a bit to drink the mood was great and the views even better. The crew were wonderful- so friendly and obliging - nothing was too much trouble. There were delicious morning snacks, with whatever drinks you wanted. Lunch was incredible- a huge plate of delicious food cooked and prepared fresh onboard. The swimming stops were so much fun - especially the cliff jumping and cave swimming. They were knowledgeable about the history of the areas we went to. The lunch they made us was excellent.
