Let me first start out by saying our tour guide Pablo was very informative, polite, genuine and just an all-around cool dude. Pablo was giving us so much information during the car ride before we even got to the Ruins! It was very clear he was passionate about history and loved what he did.
When we first arrived in Tulum my husband was pretty ill (due to his medication). He asked Pablo if he could get his wallet from the shuttle so he could purchase some water. When Pablo found out the shuttle had just left, he bought my husband a water with his own money because he knew he wasn't feeling well! Now that is going above and beyond. :) After the Ruins tour while waiting to board the shuttle, Pablo kept checking on my husband to make sure he is feeling ok and assured him our next tour will be a lot cooler and refreshing. (Cenote swim)
Again, while driving to the Cenote Pablo kept throwing out all kinds of facts and history about the Mayan culture, Cenotes etc. He was so into it you couldn't help but be excited for him. Once we arrived at the Cenote we geared up and got ready for a refreshing dip. The water was crystal clear! Cleanest most pure water I've ever swam in! JUST BEAUTIFUL! Pablo guided us through the caves with a flashlight and made us feel very safe and calm. The Cenote swim was probably one of the coolest things I've ever done in my life! Words can't explain it. you just have to experience it!
We then made our way to Akumal Bay to snorkel with the turtles, and had a delicious lunch before hand. I had the chicken fajitas which were amazing. And my husband had the chicken quesadilla. He loved it! After eating we made our way down to the beach for snorkeling. My husband stayed behind in the shade because he still wasn't feeling the greatest. While I was out having fun, Pablo stayed back with my husband and kept him company. :) The snorkel experience was fun! Saw lots of turtles, but my only criticism is having it last longer. I felt like it was a little short.
This tour is a MUST DO when you're on vacation in the area! The price was right, food and experiences were great, and Pablo was AMAZING! Do yourself a favor and book this experience with Pablo. You won't regret it.
