Truly an amazing place. Overcome your fears and walk with the stingrays. Best to to when the waters are calm but avoid when its too windy.

We took a minibus to get to the beach from the tender arrival place. The 7 mile beach was really really nice. We stayed under the roof of a public cabana which provided good shade and breeze to all of us, especially during kids' nap time. We arrived quite early so we were able to secure one that we shared with others as it was quite big. Bathrooms were in a blue building separated from the beach. My suggestion is to try to bargain a price with the minibus drivers. Also make the driver stick to their promise like we did, as ours wanted to charge per person after saying he would be charging per seat and made us hold our kids on the lap to fit more people.

After reading some of the reviews, we were concerned about the cleanliness; however, my daughter really wanted to go, so we tried it. The turtle snorkeling section did have some algae in it, but in an environmentally appropriate way. We did get to see tons of turtles and swim near them. It was clear enough to see the turtles through the water without snorkel equipment. It is small overall, but worth it if you love turtles.

My family and I first visited Rum Point 9 years ago when it was known for its very rustic charm. Skip to this trip, and Rum Point has grown up! The vibe is still relaxing and calm, and they did an excellent job in their renovations. Their new bar area is beautiful, but their service left something to be desired. It felt like we were bothering the staff any time we ordered anything; there was no energy behind their efforts and their POS system kept getting knocked offline. Their drinks are overpriced and there is hardly alcohol in them; hence why my group switched to beer only. It is still beautiful, but it lost some of its charm. Highly recommend a visit, but it isn’t what it used to be. The water is still exceptional on the Point and they installed nice floating beds to soak in the hot sun. We’ll always be back to visit, but I hope management works with their staff to make their guests feel more welcome.

Just a short drive from West End, this botanical park has a lot of great local plants and vegetation. It was a hot day but we enjoyed seeing the orchids section that had a bunch of flowers.

This is a fun way to spend some time. There is a parking lot at the point. As you walk along the water's edge or wade into the water, you can see the starfish laying on the bottom. When we were there, we saw several individual ones. Tours anchor just off the point.

This is a quiet beautiful beach with soft sand and clear water. No chairs or umbrellas to rent but there is ample shade under the trees. No food or drinks to purchase so bring your own. Fairly good snorkeling offshore starting around 50 yards to 200 yards with water depth mostly 5ft to 25ft. Coral close to shore is barren and dead and further out you will see a few small live corals. Best snorkeling was to the left side of the beach and out from the private property to the left. The public bus is the way to go to get there and back at 2 dollars per person. Bus stop is right at Cemetery Beach. It makes several stops along the way but they are quick and may take 5-10 minutes longer than a taxi. Takes about 20 minutes to get there. The buses are small, more like a van, carrying about 15 people but clean and air conditioned. Bus stop is also a short walk from the cruise pier. The fish were not abundant and found mostly in certain areas so keep moving to see the best variety of tropical fish. Some of the species I saw were butterfly fish, parrot fish (lots), wrasse, queen angel, French angel, flounder, cuttlefish surgeon fish and several more. So a pretty good place to snorkel but not the best. The quiet beach and an inexpensive snorkeling day made it a great choice if you are in to that. There are restrooms across the street at the bus stop.

George and Michael were great hosts. Knew their way around the boat, made the experience fun and were safe at all times. Add this tour to your list!

    A perfect and marvelous beach!
If you’re looking for crowds and noise, go to another place.
We came to this beach from going on the Celebrity Beyond cruise ship and, after finding this place, we were astounded by the beauty of the beach. The waters are crystal clear and there isn’t enough people to make the place crowded or noisy. For our family, we don’t mind them not having any facilities. However, if you are looking for a place to rent gear, beach chairs, equipment, or anything of sorts, this isn’t the place to go, since it’s a beach where locals go.
