Welcome to summer in Miami. After you've been here a while, you get the hang of swimming through the densely humid air and timing your outings around the daily deluges—a good thing, since there are plenty of fun ways to break outside and explore Miami this weekend. On deck, we've got back-to-back shows from L.A.'s bilingual indie rock outfit The MarĂas, a major circus event in Downtown (that happily leaves out the animals), an immersive art-fueled pregame at Superblue and plenty of outdoor festivals and fresh theater. Contemporary art exhibits, a prehistoric garden installation and a sultry cabaret round out the festivities. Ready to have some fun in the 305? Here are the best things to do in Miami this weekend.

There are few pleasures more universally loved in life than day drinking by a pool, and in Miami, you better believe we indulge regularly. We've got lavish hotel decks, rooftop pools you can actually get into and public watering holes aplenty. None, however, beckon so boldly as a full-on pool party. Yes, we have the kind of splashy untz-untz ragers filled with bachelor and bachelorette crews. But we also have poolside get-togethers that skew more local and low-key. When you’re ready to trade in your club nights for a piña colada-soaked day in the sun, we’ve scoped out the best Miami pool parties for going wild or keeping chill. We actually have a very unique plant market here in South Florida, and summer is the prime growing season. Whereas the rest of the northern hemisphere needs greenhouses for their tropical flora to thrive, here, we have it in abundance. If you grew up in Miami, you're already familiar with the many nurseries tucked into the suburbs. While we still delight in being able to shop straight from the source, we're thankful for the abundance of Miami's urban plant shops with a more curated selection of greenery—some spots even have air conditioning! Ready to add a botanical touch to your home? Tap through to discover the best spots to buy plants in Miami right now.

Legion Park is the place to be on a beautiful Saturday morning, as tents pop up from Biscayne Boulevard all the way to Biscayne Bay. Run by Urban Oasis Project, which oversees some of Miami’s most important farmers markets, you’ll find produce from local favorites like Little River Cooperative and French Farms, artisan-made goods like fresh bread, hummus and empanadas (the Chilean ones are excellent), and even dog treats. (Don’t worry, Fido always gets a free sample.) In the morning, a hundred or so yogis gather under the Spanish oak-draped banyan trees for a donation-based yoga class and then stock up on goods from some of the new-age vendors onsite.

The Coconut Grove Farmers Market is probably Miami’s most well-known. Every Saturday, Homestead's Glaser Organic Farms transforms an unoccupied corner of Coconut Grove into a full-fledged produce market with dozens of fruit and vegetable stands, a raw bar featuring prepared foods and salads and coolers filled with cold-pressed juices and nut mylks. There’s even velvety vegan ice cream for sale and several rows of picnic tables where you can sit and enjoy your bounty.

Along its periphery, you’ll find other local vendors selling honey, homemade soaps, handmade jewelry and other artisanal items. And the setup and breakdown are so fascinating to watch! Much like the circus leaving town, everyone quickly dismantles their tents and packs up just after sunset, leaving no trace of the bustling day on the empty gravel lot.
