We do birthdays big in Miami—and America’s is no exception. The 4th of July tends to hold a lot of meaning for those who call Miami home, whether they were born in this country or immigrated here in the pursuit of their own American dream. Of course, we have to add our Miami flavor to the most patriotic day of the year, whether it’s via a mojo-soaked barbecue, a star-spangled fireworks display on the bay, or a pool party that’s every shade of red, white and booze. But hey, that’s what freedom is all about, right? So light up those sparklers and pledge your allegiance to a good time. Here are the best ways to celebrate the 4th of July weekend in Miami. (We'll be updating this guide as the holiday approaches, so check back often.)
