If you haven’t been to Frankfurt yet, you’re missing out. It's best known for its high-quality sausages (don't leave without trying them!), but there's lots more to it too. There are absolutely tons to see and do in this flourishing city (one of the biggest in Germany), from the medieval old town to the gothic ‘cathedral’ and the lovely Römerberg square. There’s also a whole host of great restaurants, and if you like a drink, track down an apple wine tavern. But after all this fun, sounds like you might need a cosy place to rest your head, right? Thankfully for you, Airbnb has it all, whether you’re travelling with pals, the whole family, or on a romantic getaway.

4. Edgy one-bedroom apartment in the centre

Apartments in Frankfurt can be – it’s fair to say – a little same-y. This one, however, has been given some extra va-va-vroom thanks to a few stylish twists, like the exposed brickwork in the living room and the sexy monochrome kitchen area. Our favourite addition is the working telescope which can be used for stargazing (and umm… definitely NO spying on the neighbours, OK?!).

Rooms? One bedroom. Sleeps three guests.
The mood?
Bachelor pad-ish vibes made a little cosier.
Location perks?
In a trendy part of town, with some really good eateries nearby.

5. Black-and-white ground floor apartment

There’s something immediately relaxing about this neatly designed city apartment. It’s simply but effectively decorated in a way that feels just a tiny bit feminine, despite the bold use of geometric lines and a black-and-white colour palette. It’s got everything you’d need for a short break in town, including a small kitchen area and a nice sofa space for morning coffee.

Rooms? One bedroom. Sleeps two guests.
The mood?
Minimalistic domesticity with spa-like energy.

This super swanky space for two is the kind of place you want to take your shoes off as soon as you enter - it’s that clean and sparkling. Think this sounds dreamy? Us too.

7. The idyllic green home

Located in the south bit of the city’s Westend, this quirkily decorated apartment is perfect for a short weekend break in Frankfurt. We love the retro styling of the place and the palm-print wallpaper. A large window keeps the room feeling light and has nice views of a little garden area. There’s no kitchen area provided, but the host has kindly provided an espresso machine and a kettle for all your caffeine addict needs. Plus, you won’t have any trouble accessing restaurants and cafes when hunger calls.

Rooms? One bedroom. Sleeps two guests.
The mood?
Retro colour schemes and bold prints make this place a whole lot of fun.
Location perks?
Right in the centre with the Old Opera House just a stroll away.
