On Sunday, Boston Red Sox outfielder Jarren Duran found out that he was named an All-Star for the first time in his career.

The 27-year-old has had an incredible season, hitting .276 with an .813 OPS, 10 home runs, 40 RBIs, 21 stolen bases and a league-leading 10 triples.

During Sunday night's meeting between the Red Sox and New York Yankees, Duran was mic'd up in the third inning, and he shared his reaction to the news.

"It's pretty special, honestly," Duran said. "I called my dad. We both broke down crying. But, it's kind of hard to focus on that when you gotta play the Yankees at night, so it's one of those quick little love things but then you gotta focus back up."

Duran has gone through a lot in his short MLB career, so it's great to see him realizing his dreams.
