The Boston Red Sox took on the New York Yankees for the third time in three days with a chance to win the series on Sunday, and they did just that with a 3-0 victory in the finale.

Boston's offense wasn't great, but they got two solo home runs from third baseman Rafael Devers (3-for-4) in the seventh and ninth innings while Ceddanne Rafaela (1-for-3) blasted a solo shot in the eighth.

Devers also helped out his pitching staff with an incredible bare-handed play at third base in the bottom of the eighth.

The Red Sox's pitching staff was more impressive in this one with starter Kutter Crawford throwing seven scoreless innings while allowing just four hits and striking out four. The outing lowered his ERA to 3.24.

Justin Slaten and Kenley Jansen both pitched scoreless innings to end it with the latter earning the save, passing Francisco Rodriguez for the fifth-most in MLB history.

The win improves Boston's record to 49-40 and 29-17 on the road. They'll have a day off on Monday before taking on the Oakland Athletics back at Fenway Park starting on Tuesday.
