Adapted from the YA novel of the same name, Aitch Alberto has artfully crafted a story that is tender and heartfelt. There is an unmistaken chemistry with our two leads: Max Pelayo and Reese Gonzales. The duo are in that age-old coming-of-age tale. The unknowns bring a breathe of fresh air to a familiar story. The third act goes a touch off the rails, but the spirit of the film remains joyous and hopeful. It is low budget and few people found it, but this is well worth the time! Final Score: 8/10

A tender and heartfelt coming out story. I enjoyed this movie a ton, my one critique being that it left out certain lines & scenes that really add a lot to the book. Especially interactions with both sets of parents. I know its hard to fit everything into an adaptation, but I did miss a few things that really add to the depth of every character. Overall a great movie though!

Absolutely fantastic....... Aristotle and Dante's story has always been one of a kind, but this movie is one in a million.

A one of a kind coming-of-age film I've ever seen in my life.. it's stand of it's own take of teenagers life--more depth of the characters in thier lives and also for the viewers like me of course. Aitch Alberto take us again us to be young and in love again--it phenomenal feeling it's like you were there with the characters in the film. It's sweet teenage life with the execution of mirroring the real life. The phasing of the film is great, the actors are incredible, great chemistry of each of them in one another on the screen. Love Max Palayo's Ari he make me feel what he feels of the character also Reese Gonzalez's Dante it feels the same--big impact while I watched it. It is real great film should this generation could discovering it specifically the teenagers like Aristotle and Dante and find the meaning of the real discovering the secrets of the universe.

A striking adaptation of the novel. When you go into a film that has been adapted from a book you really enjoy, you don't always leave the film satisfied. But this was an exception to the rule. It has a great cast and it's beautifully shot.

This is not a sugarcoated teen romcom by any stretch of the imagination. Deeply moving, wonderfully acted, beautifully written, paced and directed.

If you loved the book, you'll love the movie. Sure, elements of the book are missing, but that's what happens when adapting a book into a movie. However, the absolute perfection that Max Pelayo brought to Ari and that Reese Gonzales brought to Dante are indisputable. Bring your tissues with you because you WILL cry.
