I am a trauma informed, attachment based, relational cultural therapist specializing in addiction recovery, identity construction, post traumatic growth, and healing from developmental trauma.
You don't want to live this way anymore. In the depth of your being you know there is more to life and more to love than what you have been feeling. You no longer want to numb your reality with 80 hour work weeks, superficial relationships, drugs, alcohol, or shopping. You are ready to listen to the voice calling out from that pit of internal emptiness. You are ready to step fully into life. And as you take this first step on the path back to your essential nature, I would be honored to walk alongside you and support you in your journey to reconnect with yourself, with your life, and with your purpose.

These symptoms often manifest as family of origin (FOO) issues, co-dependency, addiction, anxiety, and difficulty with life transitions.
I often work with individuals who utilize externals to numb their feelings (whether that be drugs, alcohol, relationships), and people who may have been taught to ignore their own wants and needs in order to fulfill their role of taking care of others. This disconnect from your emotional experience has the ability to isolate you from those around you, often leading to misunderstanding and conflict in relationships. My goal is to help you gain insight into your own internal experience in order to better understand yourself, and to be better understood by those around you.

I am a trauma specialist with extensive experience in addiction, complex trauma, ADHD and perfectionism.
If you feel like you have tried everything and nothing works, I get you! I strongly believe that we all have an inner wisdom deep within us, but through our life experiences and social influences, most of us lose access to this inner healer. In our work together I will guide and support you as we peel back the layers so that you can reconnect with your deeper sense of self. As you begin to make that connection, shift happens. My intention is for you to feel empowered in your healing journey.

For the past seventeen years, I have been helping people work through depression, anxiety, substance abuse issues, burn out at work, and difficult life transitions.
When life feels tough, and the day-to-day can feel like a struggle, it can be difficult to know where to turn for help. You may be telling yourself that you can solve whatever is troubling you on your own, or that only weak people go to therapy. The truth is that life can be tough and everyone needs helps sometimes. Reaching out for help is a very brave step. I will help support you in gaining insight into yourself, identifying the areas of your life that you would like to change, and we will work as a team to help you create a life that feels better to you. You are not alone. I am here to help.

Do you struggle with substance use affecting every aspect of your day-to-day life? Maybe there's damage to your relationships, ability to function, job, or career. Do you feel trapped by the inability to freely choose your thoughts, emotions, or actions? Is getting through the day without self-medicating difficult or impossible? Do you wonder if it’s even possible that your experience of life could be better? Now more than ever, so many people feel anxious, overwhelmed, or uncertain about retaking control of their lives because they don't know how; or fear keeps blocking their best intentions. No wonder you’re so stressed.

For those struggling with substances other than alcohol, I offer CBT, DBT and MI to assist in achieving sobriety. This is your journey and your choices, and my coaching/counseling style is to meet you where you are at, motivate you and help you find long-term solutions for substance abuse.
