I often work with individuals who utilize externals to numb their feelings (whether that be drugs, alcohol, relationships), and people who may have been taught to ignore their own wants and needs in order to fulfill their role of taking care of others. This disconnect from your emotional experience has the ability to isolate you from those around you, often leading to misunderstanding and conflict in relationships. My goal is to help you gain insight into your own internal experience in order to better understand yourself, and to be better understood by those around you.

These symptoms often manifest as family of origin (FOO) issues, co-dependency, addiction, anxiety, and difficulty with life transitions. As an LPC I facilitate sessions through an integrative approach; utilizing various treatment modalities such as IFS and EMDR, and my training as a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional to best meet your needs.

I pursued counseling because I believe in the power of healthy, supportive relationships. It is important to me to create a safe space where you are able to be yourself without fear of judgment.
