I am an empathetic and compassionate Clinical Mental Health Counselor who utilizes my educational background and experience to work with a diverse population of clients.
Kim completed her Master’s degree in Forensic Counseling from Alder University and is a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Illinois. She helps clients to identify and set realistic and achievable goals for treatment. Kim uses DBT techniques to build and maintain coping skills, interpersonal effectiveness skills, and distress tolerance skills.
Kim believes that success is defined by the client and takes a client-centered, strengths-based approach to empower her clients. She takes time building the therapeutic relationship to foster change and growth while providing the client with a safe space to practice new behaviors and life skills.
