I am Licensed Clinical Social Worker in Tennessee with 5 years of experience with children, adults and families. My background includes inpatient care at Vanderbilt University Medical Center as well as behavioral therapy in Boston, MA. I have experience in many areas but specialize in a few. The first is individuals (children, adolescents and adults) that are neurodiverse, specifically struggling with Autism or ADHD. Additionally, I love working with parents/caregivers to support through new diagnosis and behavior challenges. Finally, I have a passion for working with clients experiencing anxiety disorders such as GAD or OCD.
Living life as someone who is neurodiverse can be challenging and I strive to partner with people in how their brains work best. I also have a passion for working with caregivers of loved ones that are neurodiverse or struggling with mental illness in anyway. It is okay to feel all of the mixed feelings about new or chronic diagnoses and I am here to support
I fully believe that anxiety can be extremely impairing and try to break the thought with clients that it’s “just anxiety”. I work with my clients to create an open and safe environment where thoughts and feelings can be shared freely. I also strive to empower clients and their families that life does not always have to be or feel how it does now.
