Her experience includes working with anxiety, depression, ADHD, PTSD, LGBTQ+, military, couples, family, grief, personality disorders, and eating disorders. Her resume includes volunteer work as a sexual assault crisis advocate- assisting victims of sexual assault in local county hospitals, as well as, counseling survivors of domestic violence.

In my career as a counselor, I have found that I have worked best with clients struggling with depression, anxiety, and understanding their own emotions and experiences. These clients often have had difficult childhoods and have strained relationships with people from their past, which continues to impact them in the present. Clients such as these want to better understand their past, so that they can learn, grow, and move on from it, becoming improved and more well-rounded versions of themselves. Once they have fully processed these emotions, they can start to live a meaningful life that is worth living.

Sarah Lesniak, LSW, looks at the therapeutic process as a collaborative relationship. She meets clients halfway if they are willing to meet her halfway. Sarah treats clients as people and not their disorders, and she strives to provide a safe, comfortable place for them to open up. Sarah earned an MSW from University of St. Francis and has extensive experience working with adolescents and adults struggling with eating disorders, depression, anxiety, mood disorders, and PTSD. She currently treats clients age 9 and up.

Everyone is worthy of the opportunity for a supportive, positive and stable relationship in their life. It is critical for children, adolescents and families to have support in navigating stressors that occur during various stages of life. My goal is for our clients to develop the coping skills, strategies and mindset to move forward and deal with stressors in a positive and productive way. My formal counseling journey includes a M.S. in Counseling with my (LPC). I bring a wealth of personal experience, 25 years of career experience, and a faith-based philosophy to those in need of healing. As a Counseling Director in a high school environment, I am uniquely qualified to provide therapeutic services to families navigating the education system. As a senior hospital-trained psychologist, I enjoy providing insight-oriented care to individuals and families who are curious about how they contribute to their own difficulties in living. I also enjoy consulting on psycholegal matters and mentoring colleagues. I work with many successful people who are struggling in a particular area such as work or marriage. I enjoy working with people to find more meaning in their careers. I also have a subspecialization in addictions. I also use my behavior change expertise to address our addiction to oil and the preservation of our planet for future generations.
