I am a licensed clinical psychologist with expertise in the assessment and treatment of children and adolescents. I am particularly interested in helping families and schools work together to support students with unique learning needs as a result of emotional, cognitive, and behavioral difficulties. I utilize a cognitive-behavioral and problem-solving approach, as well as, narrative principals to assist clients with addressing the various challenges they are facing. I believe that therapy should be a safe and reclaiming space where strengths are built upon and challenges are addressed side-by-side.

I have several years of experience working with adolescents and those who have experienced complex trauma. I am interested in working with members of the vast LGBTQ population, as well as adult children of alcoholics, and those on the autism spectrum. Dr. Sobel received her doctorate in clinical psychology from the Illinois Institute of Technology, and completed a fellowship at the University of Chicago. Prior to launching PACT, she was a faculty member at the Family Institute at Northwestern University and Rush University Medical Center. She has specialization in conducting diagnostic, psychoeducational, and personality testing batteries to primarily children/adolescents with a variety of psychiatric and medical diagnoses. She also assists children and their families with school programming issues. Another area of clinical expertise is providing individual, family, and group psychotherapy. She has specialization in using researched-based cognitive-behavioral techniques

Dr. Rostein is a bi-cultural and bi-racial post-doctoral fellow working with children ages 0-18, with a variety of behavioral and emotional issues. Dr. Rostein provides services in both English and Spanish, and specializes in working with infants to young adults and families who have experienced complex trauma including abuse, neglect, and attachment ruptures. Dr. Rostein is rostered in Child-Parent Psychotherapy, a model for children (0-5) who have experienced trauma. Dr. Rostein works with individuals demonstrating symptoms associated with autism, intellectual disabilities, depression, anxiety, and self-esteem issues.
