Therapy offers a relationship in which we explore the impact of problems in life, and look for new ways to manage them. Sometimes we are stuck in a problem because of the ways in which our past experiences, relationships, traumas, and families have shaped our feelings, thoughts, and physiological reactions. Part of our work together involves creating space for new situations and understandings from which a new solution to a problem can evolve. While sometimes that work is brief, it can take a bit more time when we are looking at lifelong patterns, issues related to family, dynamics, and attachment, or different types of trauma.
I enjoy working with creative clients, people in job, work, and life transitions, anxiety and depression, relationship issues, and diverse sexual and gender identities. My therapeutic style blends compassion humor, and care with collaborative creativity geared to growth and helping our experience of problems to evolve and move toward resolution.
