I grew up witnessing the effects of social injustice, conflict, and violence on individuals and communities that simply strive for peace and connection. I have spent decades of my life walking alongside survivors whose basic rights were stripped and who sought to identify a path towards healing and belonging.

Welcome to all of you. I am primarily trained in health psychology, working with those hoping to harmonize their body and mind benefiting from alternative and integrative initiatives. I am comfortable treating issues of dual realities: behaviors; bipolar disorder; death; hyphenated/intersectional identities; inter/multi-generational traumas; relationships (children/parents, couples, blended families, siblings); life transitions and personal journeys of assimilation, breakup, borders crossing, conversion, displacement, divorce, migration, sobriety and transitioning - all great examples of the incredible power of human transformation.

It can be frustrating to not see any progress in talk therapy, to be told to trust the process. By providing evidence-based therapy for depression, anxiety, and complex trauma, each session feels productive, like work is being done, until the client feels almost like their own therapist. If you find yourself feeling unmotivated, empty, having trouble deeply connecting with others, wanting to change but being unable to do so, despite trying self help books/podcasts, reaching out to a therapist that uses an evidence based approach is a great first step!

I provide you with a place to speak freely, so that through this unique experience you can become yourself in a new way. I work with individuals, couples and children, with a focus on survivors, trans and queer people, neurodivergent people, and people in recovery. We may strategize together to address crises or life transitions, and we may speak on an existential plane with close attention to the unconscious. In any case, we will raise questions together, we will challenge normativity, and we will prioritize new connection. In our work together nothing is assumed, and in our speaking together new and old things become possible.

Welcome to Whole Hearted Therapy ! Some life experiences create open wounds that can have a paralyzing impact in the way we see the world, interact or make meaning of it. Does this lead you to shy away from intimate relationships and struggle with boundaries with friends and family ? I provide a safe and compassionate space where you can be fully seen and heard, explore with curiosity and support you in your journey to well being. I am EMDR trained clinician and bring a trauma informed approach to my practice.

Hi and welcome! I combine traditional and holistic therapeutic approaches to support and facilitate client curiosity, exploration, and growth. My therapy practice is oriented as anti-oppression, anti-racist, community oriented, feminist, wherein I view therapy as social justice work. I am dedicated to maintaining a strength-based, compassionate, light-hearted space to support clients in strengthening their self-awareness, self-advocacy and connecting them with the wisdom that is already there. My goal is to meet my clients 'where' they are and maintain unconditional positive regard for clients, and their loved ones.

Please note that I am licensed as a psychotherapist in California only, therefore you must physically be in the state of California during our teletherapy session. The magic of therapy is in thoughtful conversation; no more, no less. When things seem difficult, it helps to have someone to talk to who can remind you about your sense of meaning and purpose and remind you that you somehow got as far as you did!

Perhaps you are overwhelmed with stress, dealing with anxiety/depression and poor sleep due to a life transition, or caregiver stress. Maybe you or a loved one is managing a serious health condition and hope to learn of coping skills and various resources. You may be a parent, a teen or young adult experiencing stress or loss of a loved one or a relationship. I believe people are insightful, resilient and have the innate ability to adapt and adjust to all types of challenging circumstances. You deserve to set aside time and space to think through your thoughts, values, identify feelings in order to move forward to find balance.

Clients in my practice express various struggles such as feeling unhappy, lonely, unsatisfied, irritable, lost, stuck, overwhelmed, unmotivated, isolated, inauthentic, and hopeless. They are unsure about where they are in school, work, or life. They may use terms such as depressed, stressed, anxious, numb, angry, traumatized, grieving, and anxious/avoidant attachment. They seek to know themselves more or to feel more whole. They seek to unlearn unconscious and unhelpful habits. They wish to grow and nurture their relationships with others and themselves. They desire to feel more at peace, joy, and be able to tolerate the challenges.

If YES, you've found the right place to transform your life. I provide a safe, compassionate, and nonjudgmental setting, using evidence-based theories that fit your situation. "Thank you Clint! I have finally taken control of my emotions and like myself today" -Kim.

As a resilient survivor of decades of trauma, I am passionate about serving children, adolescence, adults, and their families to promote healing from physical, emotional, sexual, intergenerational, and racial traumas. With 19 years serving populations with varying neurodiversities (ADHD, ASD, developmental delays), mental health struggles, and marginalized communities with complex traumas (e.g., substance abuse, domestic violence, sexual trauma, oppression), I am dedicated to empowering others to access their most authentic selves and journeying alongside people as they create a purposeful life that is meaningful for them.

As a Latina, mother of two at-risk pregnancies boys, a wife, and the eldest daughter, I can relate to the challenges of staying connected to our culture while attempting to merge with the American Culture. I have worked in the mental health field for over 23 years where I provided an array of clinical services; including behavioral, humanistic, crisis interventions, and psychodynamic techniques. My practice is rooted in many theories, so I exercise a holistic approach. I believe that every individual is unique and there is no one way to treat our healing process since we all come with some sort of baggage, battle wounds and scars.

Navigating the ebbs and flows of relationships can often make life feel like an uphill battle. We encounter challenges not just in our connections but also at work, school, and within our minds, grappling with issues like depression, anxiety, or trauma. The challenge arises when our difficulties overshadow these joyful experiences. I’m committed to helping you find harmony and joy in your life. I aim to assist in managing and overcoming the hurdles within your relationships. I hold a firm belief in the capacity of each individual to achieve happiness and fulfillment, and I’m dedicated to guiding you toward realizing that potential.

I provide a space where you can explore the various aspects of yourself and gain understanding of all the unique parts of our lives that are at play. One key role is making goals and ways to achieve them which can lead towards success. Making a hard decision is often anxiety producing and can cause strong emotional reactions. You may rationally know what the right answer is but are struggling with following through on it. You may even act in a manner that is not yourself at all. When we act in a way that is different than our values it can cause us to feel a whole bunch of different feelings that can be largely uncomfortable.

Life is filled with transitions, changes, growth, and honestly sometimes, even regressions. But that is okay. And even better, you do NOT have to go it alone. Let me walk through the darkness with you and we can find the way out together. Let me help you discover your strengths. Let me guide you getting your life back on track. Therapy does not have to be scary or intimidating. Therapy does not require prior experience. Therapy also does not have to be all talk about feelings for an hour. We can draw, we can take a walk, we can cry, we can laugh, we can even meet virtually! Therapy with me will be about you and your needs.
