As I walked though many personal difficult experieces in my life, I learned what I wanted from a good therapist. I have dedicated the last 10 years to becoming such a therapist for people who struggle with anxiety, depression, trauma and tragic loss or overwhelming stress.

I believe in people’s innate ability to persevere and evolve through their struggles. Everyone has an innate potential to achieve their goals if given the proper nourishment and environment. As a therapist, I strive to provide that environment. I help patients find their path towards their own peace of mind. As a former collegiate athlete and current sports enthusiast, there are complexities that an athlete or professional experiences: pressures of in-game performance, managing high stress, season or career ending injuries, or life transitions after sports career ends. All of these can produce intense anxiety, grief/loss and addiction which can cause shameful, intrusive thought patterns. I focus on combating shame by expanding healthy coping strategies, increasing self kindness, and understanding family patterns.

You have hopes, dreams and goals, but are often confused as to why you can't reach them. Most importantly, you are open and willing to do what it takes to find healing for yourself. I also work with parents and adolescents. I am a Certified Sex Therapist and a Certified Chemical Dependency Counselor.
