Are you interested in cultivating self-acceptance and self-compassion while developing strategies to feel better? Let's create a compassionate and affirming space to explore anxious thoughts, feelings of low self-esteem, grief, or trauma. I use a nonjudgmental, empathetic, and trauma-informed approach that critically examines and holds space for different aspects of your intersecting identities. I am passionate about supporting the LGBTQIA+ community because I was raised by out LGBTQ+ parents. Together, we can explore your experiences and how what you are saying to yourself about them affects your emotions.
I practice at Greenpoint Psychotherapy in a person-centered and collaborative manner that prioritizes your needs. I have particular experience working with trauma survivors following emotional abuse. I often use Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT) to explore harmful beliefs related to trauma. I also use CBT, Somatic Approaches, and Motivational Interviewing.
