Life will often fill up with unexpected twists and turns - does this sometimes leave you feeling somewhat lost and unsure. Are you considering therapy as a way to navigate through these times? Have you thought of a different way of doing therapy? I am a walk and talk therapist, where therapy isn't just about talking. It's about taking a walk, experiencing the nature around you while delving into your thoughts and emotions. Picture this: instead of confining our conversations to four walls, we take them to the great outdoors with walk and talk therapy.

Whatever your reasons for being here, you are very welcome. I provide a very safe and confidential space to people from ALL walks of life. Whatever difficulties you are experiencing I can help you to gain insight into why they exist and persist. Psychodynamic therapy helps you to bring that which is unconscious into conscious awareness which helps you to understand and resolve internal conflicts that cause suffering. These internal conflicts manifest as, for example, anxiety, depression and self-destructive behaviours, particularly in relationship with others. Psychodynamic therapy is effective in enabling life long change.

I specialise in supporting adults who are feeling overwhelmed. Stress can happen with a sudden change such as bereavement, job loss or relationship ending. It can also build with an increase in responsibilities. There can be times when life is quiet, giving you time to remember difficult past events. These memories can be troubling and make everyday life difficult. Overwhelm can show up as anxiety, low mood, avoiding things you used to enjoy. Perhaps work is too much now, or you find you are drinking/eating more than usual. Your sleep pattern may have changed. Effective help is here now.

I am an Italian psychologist and psychotherapist based in Edinburgh and Whitburn, Bathgate. Given my training in these two areas, I work with various issues that may afflict you, such as depression, panic attacks, obsessive-compulsive disorders, relationship issues, etc. Also, I use an affirmative approach in my work. This means that I validate and support the needs of people of sexual and gender minorities, promoting the search and the expression of an authentic dimension of themselves and their own identity.

We aren't meant to fit into boxes. I believe that you are the expert of yourself and that my role is to help you explore whatever you bring in a nonjudgmental way with awareness, curiosity, and support. What brings you here today? Sometimes we seek therapy because we need someone to listen without judgment. Other times, we may feel that we have lost ourselves, or are trying to figure out who we want to be going forward. While there is no magic wand to get there in an instant, my practice style is to come alongside you and hold a safe space for you on your therapeutic journey.

Are you consumed by thoughts about food and weight? Maybe the more you control your eating, the more you binge? Maybe you overeat in secret or alone and feel guilty about it? Perhaps you feel like you've tried every diet? Maybe you've tried weight loss injections or considered bariatric surgery?. Maybe it feels like your on a path of self-sabotage? I understand how you feel. I struggled with disordered eating for years and at the time didn't know what to do or where to turn for help. I work with individuals to help them overcome their unhealthy relationships with food by addressing the root causes of their binge eating.

I offer a safe and facilitative space for you to think about what you need in order to feel better. An important part of that process is the relationship we develop and I will be with you each step of the way. I will listen, empathise, wonder with you, as well as laugh, cry, and get angry. Life is incredibly difficult at times. We could most likely all benefit from a space where we can share ourselves, our thoughts and feelings, and be shown acceptance. More than that, be shown care and understanding of what we are going through. If you feel that you would benefit from that kind of space, then please get in touch.

Sometimes our thoughts and emotions can feel too much for us to deal with. We may feel vulnerable, lost, torn or stuck, and find ourselves in need of help. Let me offer you an open, safe and judgment free space, that encourages you to explore whatever's on your mind. I am a qualified and highly experienced UKCP Accredited Counselling Psychotherapist working with adults, couples and groups. I believe that therapy should be an empowering process for each client, therefore taking a collaborative, client-focused approach which respects diversity and difference is essential for an effective therapeutic process.

I am person-centred therapist with experience in supporting people going through a range of confusion and distress. This can include: anxiety and stress, family and relationship difficulties, sexuality and gender identity, low mood, loss, feeling stuck, and self esteem. Therapy can hopefully offer you a space to explore and connect with your true self. A reconnecting which in itself often helps to reduce tension and anxiety. We will work together with whatever you bring to therapy and gently explore your individual process as we go. I work online and outdoors (Fermanagh, NI).

In the busy pace of today's world, it can be difficult to find the time to sit with our thoughts and feelings. It can also be challenging to lay them out before someone else or to speak from the heart without fear of judgement.

Therapy is a gift--giving yourself permission to receive, to be heard, and to learn healthy and adaptive ways to be in relationship to self and others. Helping identify and transmute beliefs that no longer serve... from "I'm not good enough" to "I am worthy"; moving from fear to love and acceptance. A space to feel and understand your emotions, and let go. Offering a wholistic, integrative, and person-centered approach to wellness and empowerment while supporting you to find balance, hold boundaries, explore spirituality, and connect to your authentic self--moving out of your head and grounding into your heart, body, and soul.
