Zach Montellaro is a deputy national editor at POLITICO, overseeing POLITICO’s Florida bureau and contributing to national political coverage. He previously was POLITICO’s democracy reporter — reporting on election administration, campaign finance, redistricting and voting rights — and also covered state politics. He also previously wrote the Morning Score and Playbook PM newsletters.
Zach is an alumnus of The George Washington University. He’s a native New Yorker and is perpetually disappointed by the New York Mets.
