Steven Overly is the host of POLITICO Tech, a daily podcast that explores the ways technology is disrupting politics and policy.
At POLITICO, Steven previously reported on global trade and economics, including the Biden administration's trade fights with China and the European Union, and its shift away from decades-old trade norms. He has also covered the tech industry's attempts to shape public policy and political rhetoric in the nation’s capital, particularly in the wake of the 2016 presidential election.
Steven began his career as a staff writer at The Washington Post and spent seven years there covering business and technology news. He holds a bachelor's degree in journalism from the University of Maryland, College Park, and a master's degree from Columbia University, where he studied as a Knight-Bagehot Fellow in Economics and Business Journalism. He currently resides in Washington, D.C.
