Gynaecological surgery

Gynaecological or pelvic surgery such as a hysterectomy or pelvic radiotherapy can result in bladder problems.

Pelvic floor muscle exercises may help restore a woman’s bladder or bowel control, especially if done in consultation with a continence professional.

For further information visit a continence professional or contact the National Continence Helpline on 1800 33 00 66.
