"More information will be available at point of purchase, ticketholders are advised to hold on to their tickets as rescheduled dates will be announced soon. Stevie looks forward to seeing everyone at Hyde Park in London."

The venue OVO Hydro also shared an official statement on X to confirm the news. So far, Stevie has done one show in Dublin during her current UK and European tour - after the Hyde Park date, the superstar has an upcoming date in Antwerp on 16 July and in Amsterdam on 19 July.

Many fans sent their support to Stevie, wishing her a speedy recovery, but others were frustrated with the late notice, having been announced on the day of her gig in Glasgow. One disappointed fan wrote on X, "Not sure this is very fair, announcing this on the afternoon of the event?!?!".

A second said: "Beyond gutted. Have come from Barcelona for this. And to announce so close to the start of the concert is even more disappointing. But that’s how it is now with concerts. Hope Stevie is ok."

"Was literally just about to head to glasgow too", a third commented. "Hope Stevie is ok. I’m gutted but she will be back.", another said

Stevie has previously opened up about how the COVID-19 pandemic impacted her, lamenting the loss of what she sees as her final years of peak creativity and performance. She previously said: "This pandemic is more than just a pandemic for me. This is stealing what I consider to be my last youthful years."

She continued, expressing her urgency and frustration: "I don't have just 10 years to hang around and wait for this thing to go away. I have places to go, people to sing for, another album to make. With every day that goes by, it's like taking this time away from me. That I think is the hardest thing. Will it be safe next year for us to walk into Madison Square Garden in New York? I don't know that it will."

The rock icon, who has an estimated net worth of £57million, hails from Stephanie Nicks in Phoenix, Arizona. Her father Jess, the president of the renowned Greyhound bus company, taught her to sing duets with him when she was just four years old and she penned her first song with a guitar she received for her 16th birthday.

She crossed paths with Lindsey Buckingham during high school and they continued their journey together at university. Stevie had initially planned to become an English teacher but decided to drop out to chase a music career with Lindsey, releasing the album Buckingham Nicks in 1973.

However, it didn't quite ignite the world and she found herself taking on various jobs to keep her dream alive. "I had nothing," she reminisces, "I was a waitress and a cleaning lady. I was the main breadwinner. It was a lot of fun but it was hard."

Things started looking up when Fleetwood Mac invited Buckingham to join as their singer-guitarist. He insisted that Stevie join too, and this marked the beginning of their incredible journey.

After the disbandment of the original line-up led by blues guitar maestro Peter Green, the Mac took a gamble and moved from England to the US in pursuit of fame and fortune. They hit the jackpot when Stevie and her boyfriend Lindsey Buckingham joined - their very own 'Gold Dust Woman' became a mystical stage icon and the group went on to produce a series of hit albums.
