Man missing after falling off standup paddleboard in N.J. lake

UPDATE: Body of man who fell off paddleboard recovered from N.J. lake

New Jersey State Police on Saturday were searching for a man who went missing after falling off a paddleboard in a Sussex County lake.

Troopers were called about 6:44 p.m. Friday to East Shore Trail in Sandyston Township on a report of a male who went missing in Kittatinny Lake.

“Based on a preliminary investigation, a male had fallen into the water while on a standup paddle board and did not reemerge,” Trooper Charles Marchan said in an email.

The search was called off Friday night and resumed on Saturday, authorities said.
