Title Transcriptional characterization of mPFCs

Summary Medial prefrontal cortices (mPFCs) were dissected from the brain of control or antibiotic-treated 10 week old male mice, before or after fear conditioning and extinction learning for transcriptional analysis.
 
Overall design Mouse mPFCs were dissected by referring to the Allen Brain Atlas. Coordinates relative to bregma are: 1.3 to 2.8 mm anterior, -1 to 1 mm lateral, and 0 to 1 mm ventral. RNA was extracted using Trizol (Invitrogen) and chloroform and further purified using the RNAeasy mini spin columns (Qiagen).
