Did we ever get a ruling on this? I remember when it was in court (and Mermaid's farcical performance) buy I'm blank after that.

Thanks.

Yes, the lgb alliance (well, it was actually the charity commission that was sued, not the lgb alliance itself) won

Here’s a link to the barrister’s digest of the case, and there’s a link to the judgment at the bottom of that. www.blackstonechambers.com/news/mermaids-v-charity-commission/

Isn’t the outcome we are still waiting for the Charity Commission investigation 8mportant Mermaids?

Yes - weren't there complaints about a paedophile allied trustee and an employee who worked directly with children while posting graphic images of his penis and anus online? That plus a previous serious data breach involving confidential information about children and their families?

So major safeguarding issues for an organisation purporting to be "supporting" children.

Don't forget the breast binders they were sending to vulnerable young girls without parental knowledge or consent

LGB Alliance didn't win anything, Mermaids did not satisfy the statutory requirements for standing to bring an appeal.

"The Tribunal has now dismissed the appeal on the basis that Mermaids did not satisfy the statutory requirements for standing to bring an appeal. In the Tribunal’s view, Mermaids was not a person “who is or may be affected by the decision” to register LGB Alliance as a charity. In particular, the decision did not relate to Mermaids and no identifiable impact on Mermaids’ legal rights was likely to occur as a result of the decision."

Mermaids vexatiously, together with other grifting orgs, brought the case, which failed. Therefore it was a "win" for LGBA even if technically it was more of a Mermaids loss.
