If anyone is voting in the Forest of Dean

It's a really tight one and if you are wavering on a GC front, I got a pretty measured and thoughtful response to my email from the Labour candidate Matt Bishop. He is a former police officer and i think is particularly interested/concerned along the lines of men in women's prisons.

I have voted for him hoping and (as I have told him) expecting that he will be a voice to help moderate the nutters.

Right, done my bit. Over and out!

You've just elected a nutter party. Maybe you're not old enough to know their past track record.
Maybe ask Matt to tidy himself up. Looks like that scruffy bloke that used to head up the labour party

Like the scruffy bloke who used to head up the Conservative and Unionist Party who doesn't know how many kids he's actually got?

“The nutter party” label belongs to Reform.

Bunch of embarrassments wailing about first past the post on TwiX today & the fact “nothing has ever been done” to address said issue. Crickets when people mention the whole 2011 referendum on said matter in which first past the post overwhelmingly won support. 🙄

Dear God Farage in the Commons. Just as there’s been a clear out of the braying public school spanners that buckeejit finally oozes in: is there an actual quota of the creatures?

Old enough and ugly enough to be well aware of the landscape of the last 25 years of UK Politics and as a political centrist, a floating voter all my life. By nutters, I was referring to the ideologues within his own party.

haha @MichaelFabricantsSyrup touché re. Boris! I don't mind his (Bishop's) apparent scruffiness, I think I prefer that to the rather more slick looking, greasy pole climber Mark Harper he was running against.

Anyway, there is no 100% black and white yes v no when you are making a mark on the ballot so on balance I felt that this was the right choice.

Hope my post was useful to anyone else trying to make the tough decision in our area.
