Where to stay in Northumberland?

We have a weeks stay in Scotland next summer and would like to stay a few nights in Northumberland on the way back.

Where would be a good stop off as a base to see Alnwick Castle, Holy Island and Hadrian's Wall?

What other sights would you recommend whilst there?

2 or 3 nights?

Thanks

Beadnell. Particularly Beadnell Towers if you want a hotel but there are Air BnBs and holiday cottages around too. Or Seahouses for the Farne Islands/ Holy Island and Alnwick Castle/Gardens. I think you'd need a full day for both of those.
Hadrians wall is quite a bit further down but maybe somewhere like Matfen or Corbridge is nice to stay close to there or you could stop off on your way back South from further North. You probably don't need a full day depending on how much of it you want to walk or explore.

We stayed just south of Amble this year and really liked it. Easy distance to the place you've mentioned and also had a residents beach which was perfect. We had a fab holiday!

Have a look at Hadston on Druridge bay. There’s a little estate of wooden self build grand designsy houses across the road from the nature reserve/beach and a fair few of them are B&b or holiday homes. It’s a lovely beach and convenient to Alnwick

Wooler. Lovely town in the middle of everything. Riverside park has a mix of static caravans and wood lodges.

We have been every year and stayed in both types - hands down caravan wins they are fully central heated! So warm and toastie, pretty ascetics incorporated into the forest etc.

If you don’t fancy a lodge or caravan try and sit b&b , wooler is such a great base for exploring

Bamburgh Castle (Bamburgh) has accommodation to rent.

Or try the Armstrong holiday cottages in Bamburgh, they're very pretty and it's a good location for all the places you want to visit.
