can anyone help me out with this? we are taking the dcs aged 2 and 4 to edinburgh for 2 nights in june, we are looking for somewher to stay that won't be a chore for the kids IYKWIM. Last time we stayed at the Holiday inn next to the zoo, which was fine as that was our reason for visiting, but hotel a bit blah and not as child friendly.

We are looking for somewhere where you can eat with the kids without being frowned upon...or a baby listening service would be great for me and dh to go down to have dinner together.

if anybody has any suggestions about eating out with the kids in the city, please share. Thank you

Holyrood Aparthotel - it is BRILLIANT. You get a really nice kitchen so you can cook it you want or order in a takeaway.

I would second the Holyrood Aparthotel, also the Holyrood Hotel is good. They provided a travel cot in a spacious room and we had breakfast brought to our room in the morning - nothing was too much trouble.
