"In" Trainers

On the back of the dress with trainers thread, what trainers are "in" at the moment? I've never had a branded trainer (supermarket own brand for me!😁) but would quite like a good, comy pair to wear that would go with anything. Any suggestions please, up to about £100?

Same, I've been looking at other threads to get ideas. Lots of people are recommending Fitflop for comfort, not sure they're 'in' but they look good.

I'm currently wearing Nike AF1s as they have arch support (cool trainers but a granny reason to wear them I know!!). They look good though.

I'd like some New Balance 327s I think it is but no arch support I'm afraid.

Adidas Samba are one of the trainers are in this year. They aren't as comfy as my New balance 527 though

New Balance 327s if my commute into London is anything to go by.

New Balance 327, the comfiest trainers around, and incredibly popular on the school run!

Vogue has said that retro trainers will be all the rage this year, gola, Stan smiths and gazelles.

Stan Smiths are a classic and go with everything.

I can't comment on what's 'in' but I have a pair of hoff trainers which I really like and they are very comfortable. I am planning to get a pair of Golas in a lighter colour for the summer.
There's so much choice and what's in fashion changes frequently so I think you need to go with what you like and find comfortable.

Don't get the new balance 327's Op - literally everyone is wearing them, I'm sick of the sight of them. Hiking style trainers are very in especially if they're a bit ugly! ASICS gel-Tacoma's and On Cloud and the like.

I would NOT get:

  • Stan Smiths - the most boring looking trainers. I can't understand why they are so popular.
  • New balance 327 - they are everywhere!

Hoff have some nice styles and colours.

And I really like a couple of Axel Arigato styles (they are around £200 though)

And I also saw these at M&S that looked pretty cool https://www.marksandspencer.com/lace-up-trainers/p/clp60598502?intid=mobileappppdpshare

I wear Stan Smith's. I don't know if they are 'in' but I love them. Have had about 5 pairs now. Current favourites are a black and gold pair. Got them from Littlewoods junior section so a bit cheaper than adult ones.

Also look at Autry and Saye trainers (pretty cool but probably over £100 though)

I also still like Vejas - they are super comfy and they have some new colours and styles that look great.

Oh and Saucony Jazz worth having a look at

I have stan smiths in silver, white & red, white & purple/gold, white & khaki, AF1 all white with different colour swoosh - coral, mint green, pale pink
The Stans have no arch support so I wear an insole with them. The AF1 have more support and are more cushioned - but more bulky

I also wear a lot of older styles of Air Max - 90/95/97’s in various colours including Gold, purple & pale pink

I wear the chunkier trainers with trousers or shorter dresses and the stans- AF1 with midi or maxi dresses

Air Force 1's, I have the white ones with very very pale green on and they are really comfortable and look good. My teen niece and fashion conscious step child like them too!

I wear New Balance 327’s, yep they are everywhere but I bloody love them - so comfy!

OK I know nothing about 'in' but have always worn trainers for work

The most comfy I've had over the years have been Reebok Classics,. I work as an industrial sewing machinist so trainers always take a bashing being flexed and these stand up to wear

The colours are fab but not sure they are going to be the in thing which is a bonus to me

Nike Air Force 1, Adidas Gazelle, Vans, Converse.

Personally I’m less keen on the retro New Balance trend, but it’s everywhere.

On trainers and Veja are my absolute faves, lovely branding and design, and both very ethical!

Vejas still popular around here.

Vans (checquerboad) are cooler, I think. And cheaper!
