Screen going black and advert audio playing

Twice now tonight whilst browsing Mumsnet, my screen has gone black and what appears to be the audio to an advert has played with the control bar at the top displaying a button. iPhone 15. If I click on it, it brings up a play/pause symbol and a cross in the corner to shut it down.

What the hell is that all about? I didn’t click on any ads, I was just scrolling through text.

Can you tell us which thread or page you were on when this happened? A url would be really useful if possible. And can we ask what browser you were using, or if you were on the app?

And just checking - are you using an iPhone 15 or are you saying the ad seemed to be for an iPhone15?

This has happened to me too 3 or 4 times in the last 24 hours

Hi @HebeMumsnet , sorry, I can’t remember what thread I was on. I’m using an iPhone 15. I’ll see if I can get it to do it again.
