Emojis messing up

BIWI · 28/06/2024 19:03

When I'm typing an emoji, as well as using the creepy wee brackets (thank you Scottishmummy!), the whole list of MN emojis pops up - and covers the screen where I'm trying to post.

If I click on the emoji I want, despite having already typed it in, it gives me the emoji and then a few letters of text.

Like this:

Grinrin

I care! I came here to see if anybody had posted about this. I really only use the MN emojis and it's disconcerting to type [ grin ] but without the spaces and have it convert to Grinrin.

Hi @BIWI thanks for letting us know. We'll try and figure out what's causing the glitch. In the meantime, your MN emojis can be found by clicking the smiley face, then in the menu, they're under the big blue M. Shock Confused

Thanks, @BeckyAMumsnet but it's much quicker to just type the emoji (for us old hands, anyway).

I know @Gasp0deTheW0nderD0g - been using MN for too long to try any new-fangled ways!

Thanks @BeckyAMumsnet Flowers

(It's actually much quicker to type it anyway!)

Hallo @BIWI @Gasp0deTheW0nderD0g should be fixed now, if you wouldn't mind giving it a run out. Smile

Sorry @BeckyAMumsnet - have been away and only had iPad/iPhone with me. But now I'm back/using the laptop and desktop site, all seems to be working. Thank you!
