For the love of god, please can we have a Taylor Swift mega thread where all new threads are removed to.

I know MN hate moving threads to relevant topics but please consider creating ONE thread in Music then moving every single poster who creates a thread into the mega thread.

We are all so sick of the endless ‘omg how do i get tix’ threads.

I'm beginning to wonder if there is some corner of the internet where people have been tipped off/spread rumours that if you make an account on MN and ask how to get tix, you will somehow be offered them. That can be the only explanation (for the influx), surely?

I agree with you. I hate to doubt people’s authenticity, but some of them come with sob stories which make me very suspicious. I can’t believe that such super fans only now realise they can’t live without seeing her, a year after tickets went on sale!

That’s true, but some of them might be asking for things like travel recommendations, which are something I can help with! So people might miss out on actual help if everyone scrolls by. I am also, I admit, fascinated with the phenomenon of TS, and trying to reconcile this frenzy with the obsessions I and my peers had in the 80s. We never spent anything like the amount these tickets are going for (adjusted for inflation) even for worldwide famous bands of the day. I cant help thinking social media is the difference, causing massive FOMO.

Thanks for the suggestion, @ChockysChimichanga - we know there have been a lot of TS threads lately but we probably won't be creating a mega thread or moving these threads to our Music topic (unless the OP asks us to). Do feel free to use the 'hide thread' button on any that you'd rather not see.

There's currently only one thread showing in the list of Active conversations so hopefully they're on the wane - until August, when she's back at Wembley for four more shows...

Obviously if you have any concerns that an OP isn't here in good faith, just hit the report button so we can take a look behind the scenes. We don't allow people to buy, sell or exchange concert tickets on our talkboards so if it looks like there's anything iffy going on, just let us know.

A mega thread wouldn’t work as people are asking about different things. Just like we don’t just have one thread about formula feeding and everyone has to post there. Bonkers.
P.S. not a TS fan or been to a concert or tried to get tickets but appreciate it for the event it is.
